2008 Toyota RAV4 - Love this car!
I have owned this car for almost 10 years. I was a bit tentative about purchasing it, only because the spare tire is enclosed in a carrier on the outside rear of the vehicle. However, this enclosure does leave more room in the cargo area. In fact, I have two extra seats that can be used. These seats are hidden in the bottom of the cargo area, so they are always there if need be. I have learned that this car is reliable, comfortable for 5 people, and gets good gas mileage. I also appreciate how well-built my car seems to be. When the doors and trunk are shut, one hears a satisfying “thud.” I noticed that fact as soon as I bought the car. My former minivan rattled so much in comparison to this Toyota! It is not perfect, in the sense that I can now hear some rattling in the axles, but the... (more)
Historia
I have lots of happy memories of driving my son and his fellow Boy Scouts to several camping trips. I also camped with the troop in several cases.
A Favor
It can carry lots of things in the cargo area, and it seems to be quite reliable.
En Contra
The tire carrier is kind of funny-looking, and the extra seats are really meant for very small adults.
2002 Toyota RAV4 - How the RAV4 Made My Life Better
I used to live on a piece of ranch land about twenty miles outside of a small town in rural Texas. Every day, I had to drive forty-five minutes to get to work and the same distance to get back afterwards. Early on, I had a Dodge Neon that was very unreliable and often gave me trouble. But when I bought my RAV4, my experience driving dramatically improved. The car was rock solid, easy to maintain, and worked for me every time I needed it.
Historia
I drove to Missouri and back in it, and the car was rock solid.
A Favor
The best things about my RAV4 were its reliability and ease in maintenance. Toyota is known for vehicles that go and go, and my vehicle was no exception. It also had plenty of storage room in the back, without being too large and unwieldy. It also had cruise control, which felt like a treat to me after the lousy car I had before my RAV4. The vehicle was affordable as well - I purchased it used in San Antonio for around 8000, and it was a great deal. I was able to sell it three years later for almost as much.
En Contra
The only bad experience I had with my RAV4 is actually kind of embarrassing. One night I left my headlights on and accidentally ran my battery down. The next morning I tried to jump start my car using jumper cables and my girlfriend's car, but I was not able to find the battery! Turns out is located under the passenger side windshield wiper...

It was the only dealership that was selling the car we wanted at a reasonable price.
2011 Toyota Yaris - Toyota Of Richardson
The salesman was very helpful, and did not push selling vehicles. Just let me look.
