Volkswagen Jetta Jersey City, NJ OWNER RATINGS & REVIEWS

Dislike this car very much!
This Volkswagen Jetta, while not being the first car I've driven, was the first car I've every owned myself. I absolutely hate it, plain and simple. It had very high miles when I got it (150,000) and is now at 191,00. The transmission slips and it stalls all the time. And no matter how many times the mechanic says "he fixed the problem with the transmission," the problem is still not fixed. The air conditioner does not work and hasn't worked since I got it. The interior is pretty nice but it smells like crayons! I have no idea how or why it smells like crayons but I can not get the smell out no matter what I try. Overall the car runs horrible, but I'm sure if it was taken care of properly from the start it would be a pretty nice little car.

Reliable and Safe
Overall, I am very happy with my 2013 Jetta. I had a Jetta previously, and was nervous I would not like the changes, but it is still a great car, with great new design and features. The design of the car is very appealing and it has a nice sleek look. The inside of the car is also very nice, with ample leg room in the backseat, comfortable and adjustable seats, and a very spacious trunk. The large trunk for a small car has always been a great feature!
The car also handles very well, and drives very solidly, especially for a small car. I always feel very safe in this car.

Volkswagen Of Freehold
2000 Volkswagen 1667
Volkswagen of Freehold treated us really good. They were patient with us while we drove several vehicles over the course of about two weeks. I want to say we test drove 5 different vehicles. They did not push us in the direction of the most expensive car so they could make more money on the commission and that was nice. They called us twice in a two week period, leaving us to be able to make a stress free decision when it was time to buy.

The staff was all very knowledgeable about the car, and didn't pressure me into committing to a sale the way other salesmen try to back you into. We were able to test drive the car on multiple visits, and even were able to compare them to other cars on the lot - something I valued very much. The manager himself came onto the floor to talk to us, and we ended up buying the car (used) since it was offered for a great price.
