Solid and Safe
The vehicle is the predominant family sedan with solid features, solid framework, and known reliability. The car holds up despite the years and can tow a car full of people around with ease. There has been little issues regarding the important parts, and only the very discerning will notice anything. The s70 feels luxuriously without breaking the bank. Be prepared to handle a vehicles that feels large.

Reliable, sturdy, and safe.
The Volvo S70 was created in 1998. It has a luxurious style for those who like the classy look. I have had the car since 2011 with 180,000 miles on it already. I must say that this car has been good to me. Despite having more than 180,000 miles on it, it takes me where I need to go. For the three years that I have had it there have only been minor issues. I had to get the struts replaced and the brake piping done which only cost me a few hundred bucks. The car is super sturdy. The car flipped over more than once in a car accident involving the previous owner. You cannot tell at all because there is not a scratch on the roof top. I think the only problem I have with this car is with the inside appearance. By the time I got it, the inside was falling apart. The leather seats were dull and ripped. The glove compartment wouldn't stay shut and the steering wheel covering was starting to peel. On top of all that, the seats are extremely uncomfortable. With that being said, I would definitely purchase another Volvo. I plan to make that a reality very soon.

Reliable and safe
This is one of the last Volvo sedans available with a manual transmission. The engine is naturally aspirated so it has slow pickup but the inline five-cylinder engine is good on gas for such a heavy car. Being a Volvo, it has an abundance of safety features that are quite advanced for its age. The quality of the steel and paint is exceptional - a very important factor for such an old car in a northern climate where salt is used on the road. No rust even at 20 years of age. Cloth interior is simple and contributes to a very quiet cabin. There are many of these cars still on the road - great if you can find an owner willing to part with it!
