Perfect for a rough outdoorsy family of five
My Escape is perfect for doing rough and tumble outdoor play, as well as long freeway driving. It is comfortable on extremely tough to pass dirt/gravel roads and has handled everything we have thrown its way. At the end of it we run it through a car wash, and it looks beautiful.

Reliable but horrible gas mileage
I bought the 2005 Ford Escape from my sister in law because she bought a new car. T only has 130K on it. At first, I was attracted to the car because it was a four door and seemed very sleek. The deep red color easily grasped my attention. I knew I needed this car. The luggage rack also made me want it since my buddies and I typically go snowboarding every winter. I like the space of the car. I can pile in both of my children easily. I like the trunk space that it offers. The V6 engine has plenty of torque and power when needed. I like the ability to pass the slow cars on the highway. I dislike the mileage of the car. With my rough estimate, it only obtains about 15 miles a gallon. With gas anywhere between $2.50 And $3.00, That can be painful. I also dislike the skipping of the engine here recently. With only 140K on it, it should not have any problems. Also, the back passenger window is not rolling down. The sunroof also does not retract every time. This can be a situation in the rain.

Mixed feelings on Ford Escape
I have mixed feelings about the Ford escape. Overall, I like the features of the car and the size. I have two teenage boys who play hockey. One is a goalie with large equipment and the other a forward. All the equipment fits nicely in the car. It does block my rear sight, but the SUV is equipped with a rear-view camera when reversing. I use this camera every time I reverse, because it gives me a full view of things I wouldn’t normally be able to see when using the window. This SUV also has heated seats, Bluetooth, leather seats and a sunroof. I like the feel of the car. It drives smoothly, and I sit high enough to see over or through most vehicles, which I prefer, but the SUV isn’t so big that I find it hard to park or I feel like I’m driving a semi-truck. I have mixed feelings, because lately, I have been experiencing problems with this car that I haven’t experienced with other cars in the past. The back-gate latch will only open sometimes, which I read reviews online for that stated this is a frequent problem in Ford Escapes. Furthermore, I am having some sort of wiring problems throughout the car that prevented my car from starting. It isn’t allowing me to charge and use aux on my phone at the same time and is disrupting the display on my dashboard.
