I bought the 2005 Ford Escape from my sister in law because she bought a new car. T only has 130K on it. At first, I was attracted to the car because it was a four door and seemed very sleek. The deep red color easily grasped my attention. I knew I needed this car. The luggage rack also made me want it since my buddies and I typically go snowboarding every winter. I like the space of the car. I can pile in both of my children easily. I like the trunk space that it offers. The V6 engine has plenty of torque and power when needed. I like the ability to pass the slow cars on the highway. I dislike the mileage of the car. With my rough estimate, it only obtains about 15 miles a gallon. With gas anywhere between $2.50 And $3.00, That can be painful. I also dislike the skipping of the engine... (more)
Story
I passed a Mustang GT on I285. It made me feel cool and young since I am a father with kids.
Pros
The top positive things about this vehicle was the price. I could not pass up $4,000 dollars for a four door car. I also like the power that the engine has. I can easily climb hills and pass cars whenever needed. The seats are also very comfortable. I drove the car for nearly six hours to the beach and only stopped to use the restroom. The seats are great. I also enjoy the radio. The radio supplies ample opportunities for blasting any kind of music. Well hip hop suffers at times with the abundance of bass. I do enjoy the high end sounds of music in my car. The sunroof also provides opportu... (more)
Cons
The top negative thing about this car is the gas mileage. The car only gets about 16 miles in the city and 18 miles on the freeway. I think the car is not that aerodynamic. It is very similar to a box. The springs of the car are very stiff. I can feel every bump in the road wherever I am. It doesn't mater if it is on a dirt road or a freshly paved road, I feel everything! The sunroof is awesome, but sometimes it will not retract in. One evening is started to rain and when I hit the button nothing happened. I had to tape a trash bag to my car so that I would not have a soaked seat. The leg ... (more)

This was my first car and has been a wonderful choice. It is an attractive body style that I picked out as a teenager and haven't regretted as a young adult. The car has held together well and has handled the use and abuse of a teenage driver. The pros of this car definitely outweigh the cons.
Story
My friend and I have the exact same car (same make, model, and color). We went on a road trip to Charleston and had our very own twin caravan the whole way down. It felt like we were on a secret mission when we all pulled up in matching cars wherever we went.
Pros
One of the best things about this vehicle has been its affordability and utility. It is not a "hardcore" vehicle that can handle every task thrown at it, but it can handle most. I can fit an entire Ikea loveseat in the back with the seats folded down and still have a little room to spare. This has been a great car for moving in/out of dorms and holds most of my belongings in one trip. The car is also easy to repair. For instance, if you daughter backs into a stationary pole, the brake light assembly is easily found online and she could replace it herself. This is a hypothetical situation, ... (more)
Cons
At 8 years old, this car is beginning to show signs of wear. There are times that it makes weird noises and I'm not quite sure where they originate. At one point, I was having transmission fluid leaks. As it turns out, there has been a large problem with transmission lines in this model but not large enough to warrant a recall. This is something a potential buyer should investigate if considering this particular car.

Our salesman was very professional, knowledgeable, and understanding of our needs and budget. He made sure that we were comfortable with all aspects of the dealership, as well as choosing the best car to suit our needs. Everyone including sales, service, finance, and business personnel were in tune with making our purchase experience very pleasant. Post-sales experience has also been exceptional.

The initial salesman that we dealt with on the day of our car purchase was pretty horrible and almost had us walking out. The save of the day was the finance director whom took over the sale. He was able to bring down our monthly payment and actually closed the sale. He also took great care of us when we went over to sign the paperwork. The best part was a week later he called us saying he got us a lower interest rate on our loan and was able to include gap coverage in our loan.
