My dad bought this truck new from the dealer in 2004. He is getting older now--and so I am. I bought it from him for a steal, with the agreement that I would do the hauling and heavy lifting for our family from now on. My previous car was an AWD station wagon, and I thought that it was a sturdy workhorse compared to my friends' cars. My F-150 made me rethink what a workhorse can be. I go backpacking fairly often, and this truck has opened new roads--literally. I've been able to reach trailheads I've never approached, and even coming down a dirt road through fords and into a flooded valley, I never felt that I was out of my depth or unsafe. It has been the vehicle my family takes on long trips for the last twelve years, and despite its utilitarian purpose, it has enough space for four p... (more)
Story
I was moving my friend's bed, and by chance got a phone call from another friend who had to move their bed out of their apartment. The ability to, at a moment's notice, drive two beds across the county, was really pretty spectacular.
Pros
Sturdy, long-wearing, virtually indestructible. I've been able to take this up mountains and through rivers, like no other vehicle I've ever been in. Very little has broken over 12 years of ownership; I think we fixed the AC once and replaced the audio system to upgrade it from CD to Bluetooth, though.
Cons
Gas mileage. I can drive it over whatever terrain, but there had better be a gas station somewhere on the mountain, because this truck guzzles gas like nobody's business. We got stuck in 4wd low one time and when we needed to go on the highway it did not do well. It's also very hard to park compared to even an SUV.

I've spent the majority of my life with smaller vehicles. I've owned a sports car, a small sedan, and a smaller sedan. The relief that having an off road vehicle with storage has given me is outstanding. I've never had an easy time getting from point a to point b in any type of weather in this vehicle. We don't have the super cab version of this vehicle, but even the "2 and a half" door style leaves more than enough room for any circumstance that we've come across so far. It's drives even smoother than some of my previous vehicles, and has no issues with rough terrain.
Story
We had a snow day where everything was closed. We didn't have to go to work. We were getting cabin fever so we decided to take the truck out. It was very fun. We didn't get stuck a single time.
Pros
The most useful thing about this truck is the space, inside and out. We initially thought we wouldn't have enough space for a child's seat in the back but it turns out that we do. Not only that but the bed of the truck is big enough to put just about anything in there. When we moved from an apartment to our house, we primarily used this truck and it was so helpful.
Cons
The only negative thing is that I wish there was more storage below the back seats. I would love to be able to squeeze a few items under there that I always have in my vehicle.

They have a HUGE selection of vehicles. Chances are, if you have a specific type of vehicle in mind, you will find it here. If not, there are other dealerships nearby that can transfer the car to you. I sold a vehicle there recently, and ultimately did not decide to purchase a vehicle there, but I intend to on my next purchase. I did sell my old car there - a 2003 GMC Envoy, and feel like I got a fairly good trade in price.

I really hate to have my time wasted. I found the car I wanted online and sent them an email with all the important information that they needed. When the deal was done they called me up. I went in, paid my down payment, signed, and took it home. I just don't like all the sitting around in the dealership waiting for the financing to be done. This was the easiest car purchase I've ever done.
