When it comes to gas mileage, dependability, and over all endurance then you could hardly do better. Some of you out there are laughing right now. You're asking, "A 1.3L engine?" Well, let me fill you in. My 1993 Ford Festiva GL has been the best car I've ever owned. It's front wheel drive, and has a five-speed manual transmission. She gets 40 to 50 MPG on the highway, and 32 to 37 MPG in city. (The 50 MPG figure is at 55 MPH. At 70 MPG the MPG lowers to the 40 mark.) If that doesn't convince you then how about this? Mazda and Mitsubishi designed the body and chassis, and KIA made the engine. As stated above, the best car Ford never made. If that still doesn't convince you then you need to learn about the power. I have personally towed a 3/4 ton fully loaded Dodge Ram 350 converted into an RV at 50 MPH, and had no problems getting up 4% grades in 4th gear. The Festiva also has more room than you'd think. It's a 2-door hatchback, and the back seat folds down. I've fit full size doors (had to push one corner out the passenger window), and it once held everything I owned at age 25. I just can't praise this car enough

The car runs wonderfully, almost like the day it was purchased! While it is a small car, the Fiesta has plenty of room for the average couple. The car has good get up and go from stoplights and can easily keep up on the interstate.
