2011 Honda Civic - Great basic car.
I bought this car used from a Honda dealership six months ago, and I am very pleased with it. Even though it had 75,000 miles on it, it runs exceptionally well. Compared to other cars I had test driven, it was very easy to handle. For a sedan, there is a lot of room, so it is very comfortable as a driver or passenger. While the engine is not exceedingly powerful, the car has good pick-up, which makes merging onto the highway easy. I am very happy with the gas mileage. I live fairly close to where I work and usually only have to get gas every two or three weeks. In the months I have owned this pre-owned car, I have had no major or even minor issues with it. I already know that the next time I buy a car, I will look for another Honda.
Story
Shortly after I started working at my new job, three coworkers and myself decided to go see the wild ponies in the national park on Maryland's coast. We loaded into my car and drove nearly 3 hours to get there. We had a great day at the beach and saw lots of wild ponies! On the way back, we stopped at a cute, little diner for dinner. It was a very interesting and fun experience, and it helped ... (more)
Pros
My favorite thing about the car is the smooth and easy handling. I really appreciate how roomy the interior of the car is. Similarly, I am impressed with how large the trunk of the car is. The car is fuel efficient, so I save money on gas.
Cons
I wish the car had a back windshield wiper. My previous car had a back windshield wiper, and I miss that feature.
2007 Honda Civic - Agile and light
I loved my little civic! It made me feel fast and maneuverable, like I can avoid anything and turn on a dime. Parallel parking was a breeze! I didn't much like the low profile of the car as I got stuck in the snow pretty easily.
I love the large and open feeling of the windshield window but thought the design of the wipers was poor one. The rear window was too small to get a good look through the mirror.
Story
I avoided a head on collision once from a drunk driver who was going the wrong way on a one way street by doing a 180 brake and turn using the emergency brake. That was scary and awesome at the same time.
Pros
Some of my favorite features of the vehicle was the digital speedometer display. I also liked the deceptive amount of space I had inside compared to looking at it from the outside. The fuel economy on this car was great! I made several trips from Baltimore and NY and sometimes halfway back on only one tank of gas.
Cons
I didn't like the how short the trunk was, it made me uneasy when I had to stop abruptly when the car slammed on their brakes abruptly. I sometime wished the side mirrors could be folded as I was always worried about losing them when parked on narrow streets. I also wish there was more horse power, but I'll take the fuel economy over power as I was a student at the time.
