It is reliable
It performs very well. When we go out for the weekend and holidays, we use the car, and it is very stable. I like the A/C and the configuration inside. Sometimes it feels small when we need to carry many things in the car. But it fits the cello, and I take it everywhere with me. The Volkswagen Jetta is a front-wheel drive, compact sedan available in S, SE, SEL and GLI trim levels. We have GLI.

Good but not great
The car has held up well given the extreme number of miles I have driven (approximately 230,000 and counting). Friends and family consistently comment that they can't believe the car is as old as it is and/or that I have as many miles on it as I do. The interior is well designed and the extra features on the TDI have proven very handy over the years (the electrical outlet in the main console). Overall, it has been a reliable car although the emissions scandal has left a bad impression that will take years for VW to recover from.
