As a previous Escape owner, I purchased my 2013 Ford Escape as it was a complete redesign of the previous model. Now with about 55,000 miles on it, I still love the vehicle and would buy a third one. The ride is comfortable and quiet. (The wind noise was greatly minimized from the previous design.) It handles extremely well, and the 2.0L Eco Boost engine is surprisingly powerful. The gas mileage is a good 24 combined city/highway. The interior is spacious and can fit five adults comfortably. Flipping down one or both back seats gives a lot of room for any type cargo. I use my vehicle to tailgate prior to Ravens home games, and it gives me plenty of room to haul my grill and gear. After five years there are still no rattles or lose interior (or exterior) pieces. I absolutely love the pa... (more)
Story
I've been on many road trips to Ocean City, Maryland, but most of all, using her for the Ravens tailgates over the last two years have been most memorable.
Pros
Handling, both dry and wet roads is very good. The 2.0L Ecoboost engine is quick and powerful. It's fun to drive. The gas mileage is very good. The fit and finish is excellent. No major repairs after 5+ years and 55,000 miles. Interior and cargo room are excellent.
Cons
No lumbar support in the seats, and they aren't as comfortable as they should be. The radio system is unattractive and just barely functions. Tough to make DIY repairs.

Overall the Ford Escape is a great smaller SUV/Crossover. While in line with most other cars of similar size price wise you get a lot of bang for your buck and the backing of a strong manufacturer. With a roomy interior where the back seats can lay flat it can be used to bring you family to the game or bring a giant game to your family. In years of owning this car with regular upkeep I've never had a single issue with it, it preforms just as well as it did when I drove it off the lot. With the Escape being on the smaller side of an SUV you never have to worry about fitting it into a tight parking space and the rear camera makes backing in and out of parking spots a breeze.
Story
I took my Escape to the Outer Banks in NC and with it's 4 wheel drive I was able to drive onto the beach to watch the horses in Corolla. It was amazing to be able to do that in the comfort of my own car.
Pros
There is a great sound system. The Escape handles very well, it doesn't get that tell tale rattle like some other SUVs do when going over a certain speed. Very easy to handle, you don't have to fight the wheel to turn, it is a smooth and easy drive.
Cons
The tires can be expensive to replace.

The staff at this dealership is incredibly nice. They really go out of their way to help you and get you the best deal on your vehicle. They don't rush you in and out. I felt like they were really taking their time with me and getting me a good deal instead of just going for the commission. I appreciated their effort to the fullest.

I worked with Darcar's internet sales rep (Armen T.), and he was a pleasure to work with. Armen was very straightforward to work with and very friendly and helpful, as was everyone else I worked with (e.g., Finance dept.). Good prices, good people, good dealership.
