My Chevy Equinox is not as responsive as my old Mercury Mariner. It doesn't accelerate as quickly as I'd like and the steering feels less responsive, too. It's not great for city driving, which is mainly what I use it for, because of the acceleration issue. It's also larger than I need and therefore harder to park on the street. The gas mileage is fine (usually 25.3 mpg) but not fantastic. I like that it has a camera for reversing, but I preferred the audible beep that my Mariner used to give. I never use the navigation features because I prefer to use Google Maps on my phone, which has more accurate road closure and traffic data. It does have a clean, simple interior though, which I appreciate. I like the material of the seats (some sort of cloth).

This car is absolutely the best car for my growing family! We researched a lot prior to having our first child and the Equinox was one of the ones that we just had to look at. I love that the back seat moves forward and backward depending on your needs. If you need more trunk space, it moves up and if you need more leg space, it moves back. The car has a decent amount of pep and runs well. It gets great gas mileage for an SUV. I usually average around 27 miles per gallon. Because I use the backseat for car seats, I wish there was a little more room between the front and back seats, but overall, I love this car. It is roomy. It is comfortable. And the features are great. Love the backup camera, touch screen and heated seats.
