Older truck that is still in great shape. Body in good shape, runs great, and interior is mostly good. Just a few small tears in the upholstery is all, nothing major. There is a small area of rust on the hood, but that is the only rust spot that I've seen. The truck is really comfortable to ride in. Radio and the rest of the controls still work and the A/C and heat work great. Tires are in good shape with no signs of bad wear patterns - just the normal wear patterns from normal regular driving. It came with a bed liner which is in almost perfect shape, and the original tailgate had been replaced with an "air-gate" which works great. I have to figure out a better way of loading the back end since it has the air gate as it isn't the most user-friendly tailgate, but that's ok. All mechani... (more)
Story
I have a lot of fun riding around in it with my granddaughter! We like to go to a convenience store that is a few minutes away to buy candy or chips. Now we can both ride around in an old truck for fun. She used to live about five miles up the road, but now she and her family have moved to a town about 45 minutes away. So now she doesn't get to visit as often, making our little truck trips ... (more)
Pros
It's a vehicle that is easy for me to get in and out of. I have arthritis (among other ailments), so it's hard for me to get in/out of smaller vehicles. Plus, I can tow a trailer if needed and load lots of stuff in the bed.
Cons
I had to replace the starter solenoid, and soon I'll have to replace the valve-cover gasket.

I own a 1999 Ford F150 and it is still going strong. I bought it used several years ago and have had very little maintenance even though it now has over 205,000 miles. The power and speed are very good. The ride is smooth. The exterior has been through a lot and still looks good. The interior is still in great shape. It is used 7 days a week for an agricultural work truck, but the mud and dirt have not destroyed any parts of it. I would feel confident drive it across the country if I needed to. I like the mileage in town and country.
Story
I have hauled several goats in the truck. I got caught up in a parade last year with two goats in the back. Everyone was looking, and probably thought we were part of the parade.
Pros
It is very tough and hard working with very little maintenance. I can count on it day in and day out and it has never missed a day on the job. It is extended cab and allows the seating of 6 people. It will easily haul more than 2,000 pounds in the truck bed, and therefore makes a great work truck. The engine, transmission, and rear end work excellent with no work needed on them in over 200,000 miles.
Cons
The shifting column is the only thing that has been a problem and I had to replace it one year ago, after 18 years of use. It uses a little bit of oil after so many miles. There really are no large cons that I can think of.
