2014 Ford Fiesta - Small and efficient hatchback
I have a Ford Fiesta 2014 hatchback in dark gray (love the color). I love the size of it especially for all parking and backing out situations. The fact that it is a hatchback is appealing to me because it makes the trunk more spacious. Also, if I fold down the seats, I can fit big items in it. I like the mileage I get. It's usually just over 30 MPG, but I have seen over 40 MPG average as well. Overall, I am glad I purchased this vehicle.
Story
A memorable experience is a few weeks ago when my family took a trip out of state. A strong storm came and caused a tree in my yard to fall onto my car. It looked pretty serious because it was an entire tree. After the tree was removed, there were only a few small dents on top of the Fiesta.
Pros
The size is a plus, for parking in tighter spaces and for backing out. It gets pretty good mileage, 30-40 mpg. The color (dark gray) and style (hatchback) are pros to me. Automatic lights.
Cons
Because it is a sub-compact, I can only get my two children's car seats to fit if I have the passenger seat scooted up too far for anyone to sit in it comfortably. When I stop on a hill (at a train track for example) and then accelerate, it barely moves for the first few seconds and then jumps forward all of a sudden (I think this is to do with a gas-saving feature?). Also, I have a difficult time getting my phone's Bluetooth to sync with the car so I usually just use the auxiliary input.
2013 Ford Fiesta - Decent Car
This is a great little car for the price, but don't expect a whole lot of torque or awesome acceleration.
Inside of the car looks nice, though you can tell by feeling the fabric and materials that it is cheaply made. It is very roomy despite it's small size. The trunk is surprisingly big as well.
My car that I bought did have something wrong with one of the hind wheels, The dealership still doesn't think there is anything wrong with it. I'll give it a bit more time, but if it persists I will be taking it in to be seen.
It costs me $40 to get the oil changed and tires rotated, which was a great deal. Any repairs done so far have been warranty repairs, so no complaints on that field so far.
Gas mileage on this car was awesome, forty miles per gallon in the highway, and I get thirty-fiv... (more)
Story
I haven't had this car long enough to do a whole lot, but I did go to Cedar Point and back, and it was only $60 in gas! Amazing.
Pros
There were quite a few positive things about this car, but one thing I do want to mention is how awesome Ford's first-buyer program is. If you don't have established credit or your credit is lousy (like mine was), Ford will work with you to get you into a car that is within your price range with a reasonable interest rate. This is probably my most liked part about Ford, that they understand that everyone falls on hard times and will work with you on fixing your credit.
The stereo in this little car is actually pretty loud, and I really like that you can plug your phone into the stereo and ... (more)
Cons
I so not have a lot of negative things to say about this car. But I do have a few noteworthy things that I feel should be mentioned.
When I bought this car, the rear side passengers side tire kept making a popping sound when turning. I brought this to the attention to my dealer during an oil change and was told that something like that could have happened if I hit a curb—Wrong answer to give a customer, and a very rude answer, too, in my honest opinion. But I’m too polite to start a fuss so I decided to drop it. If this sound continues, I will be bringing it into my dealer and having it lo... (more)
