I bought my Toyota Corolla brand new in 2007. It was my very first car. I have put over 94,000 miles on it in the last seven years. Overall, I have been very happy with it. I bought this specific car because I knew that Toyotas are reliable, and I wanted good fuel economy, because I knew I'd be using it to commute to work (over 40 miles round-trip--though I recently moved close to work.) I have never had any major problems with my Corolla. I take my car in for maintenance every 5,000 miles or 6 months (and the car has a light that comes on to remind me). Except for a few minor things that my extended warranty covered, I have only had to replace things that normally wear down, like the tires, brakes, and the battery. When I got my tires replaced, was told that they lasted 50,000 miles l... (more)
Story
I can't think of any fun story. I just feel like I've driven my car everywhere, though that only says so much since I live on an island (Oahu, Hawaii). My car is like an old friend. I've been through a lot with it (though much of that included sitting in horrible rush hour traffic!). I'd definitely buy another Toyota for my next car, though I'm considering a Prius next time.
Pros
Reliability! I don't have to worry about my car constantly breaking down! I've always been a bit fearful of breaking down on the side of the road, so my Corolla gives me peace of mind.
Cons
I wish the maintenance was cheaper, but that's probably a negative for any car. Cars are just expensive to own and maintain.

Overall, the car is great and I still use it to this day (though not as often). It is a car that can be used by friends/relatives or for a quick trip to the beach. It had a few tiny problems like any car it's age would but I found that I could fix a lot of these things myself as it is a simple car.
Story
It's always been a fun car because I use it to go to the beach all the time and don't worry about someone breaking into it as it doesn't look like a tourist vehicle.
Pros
It is a manual and I loved that I can shift when/how I want especially driving on the windy roads along the coast. Being able to have everything else fully electronic (windows, locks) is nice even thought it is a simple trim. The mileage is amazing and can still fit a good number of people in it.
Cons
Sometimes if I fill the car too full it feels a little cramped. I have accidentally broken a few wires while repairing it and it was hard to get to those wires due to the engine compartment size.

The sales person was super helpful. I walked in, said I need the cheapest used car that can be financed with $500 down. She pointed at a Ford Taurus. I took it for a drive around the block. Signed the forms, and was on my way in less than 30 minutes.

The staff at this dealership is very helpful. I had multiple questions about their cars and they gave me all the assistance I needed. I financed the car through them and they offered me a very competitive rate. After buying my car, the dealers service department always took car of my car care needs. The staff at Cutter Ford is very professional!
