Ford has streamlined its operations over the years — a process that has included the sale of divisions like Jaguar, Land Rover and Volvo. The remaining brands only include Ford models and its luxury arm, Lincoln. Now, Ford can devote more resources to its primary brands, which should make it more competitive, and the overall cost structure should be reduced.
Story
Going Camping Ford has made great strides. Labor costs are in line with its rivals, and the company continues to benefit from a focused product strategy. The company also has $9.5 billion in net cash. But Europe still hangs over Ford like a storm cloud. The company will have a tough time restructuring its operations because of the labor laws. In fact, Ford’s chief financial officer, Bob Shanks... (more)
Pros
In 2007, Ford negotiated a highly favorable collective bargaining agreement with the United Auto Workers labor union. It was key in providing a more palatable cost structure. The contract will remain in effect until 2015 and should help keep a lid on the rapidly increasing healthcare costs.
Cons
Gas prices have subsided in recent months, but we’re seeing hints that they will rise again soon. Crude supplies are tight, and geopolitical risks still loom. Ford is vulnerable to higher gas prices since it still relies heavily on light-truck sales.

What I Like - It's an all American car. It's very spacious for the size and has large trunk... I put all my belongings in there when I moved to another state. Been through a lot of camping trips. Minimal blind spots. What I Dislike - Not an ideal car for short people (I'm 5 foot). It's really hard to see the curb because the car is so low and I'm too short.
Story
I love taking the car for camping. It's amazing how well it does off road. It was a surprise to both my boyfriend and I.
Pros
This Mustang has big windows and is very safe to drive in. I got into two horrible car accidents and I didn't feel anything at all.
Cons
I don't like that when I turn the rear mirrors block some of my crucial view. It uses so much gas… OMG premium gas, too!

I was never pressured when I walked onto the lot. The salesperson was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I told him I wasn't going to buy for at least a week as I'm looking around at other places, which I did, and he was very understanding with it. He took his time and showed me what I was interested in based on what I told him. The prices were also very fair, I received a good trade in value on my old car, as well as a few discounts I wasn't aware of such as being a teacher and recently graduating college.

The day we bought the car and drove it off the lot the check engine light was on. The salesperson, whom we had just dealt with responsed by saying "Well, you knew what you bought." I would NEVER buy a car from Al Piemonte again, and would recommend family and friends to stay away.
