I bought this car in 2007. I was looking for a smaller SUV to be gentler on gas consumption, but I was shown this vehicle and offered a "great" price that I couldn't turn down. I worked as a contractor and was happy to have the extra room. I could carry a 4x8 sheet flat on the rear deck with the rear gate closed. It was definitely hard on gas, but I only drove around town and watched for deals on gas. It was harder to park than the smaller car would have been. It was actually quite reliable. The only problem I had was a failed transmission in the winter snow. That was an expensive fix, and I was always wary after that. It was roomy and comfortable, and I enjoyed driving it. It was four-wheel drive so I was not stuck at home in snowy conditions. I became the neighborhood savior when people got stuck or would not start. That's nice but it can become a burden. Neighbors expected me to get out and help them whenever they had trouble and sometimes that was not convenient. I guess it fit my personality. I always wanted to help other people, and they didn't mind taking advantage.
