I bought my Honda Pilot new from the dealer lot. I have driven it for 215,000 miles plus since purchase and I still own the car. The car is nibble for its size. It’s not a large SUV but it can haul 7 passengers on trips. The front two rows will fit large adults comfortably and two smaller adults can fit in the third row. The entertainment package option came in handy, before the days of the iPad, to help keep the passengers occupied during long trips. I found the GPS easy to use and accurate for most trips. Gas mileage is decent as the engine is equipped with feature that deactivates cylinders when the engine is not under heavy load, like highway driving. Maintenance has been minimal for the first 7 years. The car comes with a maintenance minder that helps you know when the car needs a... (more)
Story
We have gone on many trips with this car. One of the biggest advantages to this car is the fold down seats. My wife and I have taken advantage of the fold down seats to make a makeshift bed and take naps in the car during long trips.
Pros
Comfortable as a daily driver and during long trips. Maintenance has been minimal for the first 7 years of ownership. Interior is large and comfortable for all passengers. Cars acceleration and braking is good for its size.
Cons
Interior lights don’t have a cut-off switch when the car doors are locked and can lead to a light left on by mistake and drain the car battery. Rear could have a little more space for luggage when the car has 7 passengers. Alternator starts to go bad after 7 years and fails suddenly.

The 2011 Honda Pilot is a sturdy vehicle. This vehicle is practical for an individual, couple or family. The second-row bench and third-row seating allow for flexible seating to accommodate everyone. The 60/40 second-row bench seating allows easy access to the third row. The amount of cup holders is perfect to meet everyone's needs. There are plenty of storage compartments hidden and in plain view.
Story
This vehicle was used on a family road trip to Disney World. Our kids had no idea where they were headed . They saw many neat places along the way from Illinois to Florida and were very surprise by their final destination .
Pros
The 2011 Honda Pilot was create with families in mind. The second row has LATCH and tether in all three seats. The third row has one seat with LATCH and tether. There are three tether spots available in the third row. The vehicle's second row is wide enough to accommodate three child restraints. The steering wheel is set up nicely with the volume controls easily accessible. Control buttons are easily reached by the driver and passenger.
Cons
The third row can only accommodate two child restraints. While the third row has three seats, only two are usable due to the overlapping belt stalks. The third row is also difficult to use with booster seats due to the small size of each seat. The second row can be difficult to use with booster seats as well due to the fact that the belt stalks become hidden by the booster. Young children often have difficulty buckling the seat belt. The cabin is loud and often the person in the third row cannot be heard. There is no over head ventilation so the rear can be hot/cold.

The salesman was down to earth and understood that most people do their shopping on the web now. He ran our credit before we got there ensuring we would qualify for the special financing. The entire transaction was completed in under 30 minutes from when we walked through the door. They had the car 2 days later and we picked it up and signed all paperwork in about 20 minutes.

For one, this dealer didn't react to two women walking in to buy a car like we were insignificant. (You'd be surprised how many dealers completely ignored us when we were looking to buy.) Second, they'd gone above and beyond regular repairs/maintenance for the used car we bought and it really looked like they genuinely cared about the car.
