The Ford Mustang is a vehicle that's been in constant production since 1965, the prior years bugs have been worked out of the engine and engineering of the body. I love the body style of this year, it's sleek and sporty. I am the original owner, currently I've driven 100,000 miles in the car and there are no rattles in the doors or body. The engine has held up exceptionally well with regular oil changes and checking the other fluids at the same time. I've had no problems other than having to change the battery twice. The interior is nice, black seats, carpet, dash and console, bucket seats in the front and back, the cloth has held up well. The rear window has a defroster. The paint job has also held up well with no fading or oxidation. The back seats fold down giving passengers’ access... (more)
Story
Early one Saturday morning my husband and I were on our way to Tulsa. The on ramp to the Hwy is a 4 way light 2 lanes each going north and sound. The on and off ramps are two lanes as well. We were waiting at the red light, the only vehicle on the road except for an Oklahoma Highway Patrol unit (Dodge Charger) that pulled up next to us. The officer rolled his window down and revved his engine,... (more)
Pros
My vehicle is a V6 5 speed, gas mileage is 17 city and 26 highway but that depends on acceleration from red lights, maxing out each gear and whether or not the engine is maintained regularly or not (i.e.: oil changes, check engine light, etc.). The 5 speed transmission shifts smooth, except 2nd gear is 2 clicks in and if it pops out the gears will grind. This vehicle is a sports car so shifting 1st gear 25 mph, 2nd gear 40-50 mph, 3rd gear you can get up to 65 mph before getting close to red lining it and 4th gear is high speed power driving. 5th gear is really over drive and great for hig... Cons
The Shaker 500 had to be replaced shortly before the 36,000 mile warranty due to the CD player failing. The unit had the exact same failure about 6 months out of warranty. The light in the truck is not securely in place so it keeps popping out when the trunk is closed. The front seat belts will strangle you, a clasp needs to be designed to keep the shoulder part of the seat belt down across the drivers shoulder.

The main thing that attracted me to the car in the first place was its look. It's a very attractive car, and it's painted red, which is my favorite car. I love the design of the car--the lines and curves of the body. It is pretty comfortable as a driver, the seats are soft and there's plenty of room for me. However, for passengers it's very tight. For taller people in the back seat, it can be very cramped and uncomfortable. The trunk is also somewhat limited in space. It suits my needs most of the time, but there are times when I wish there were more space. I love driving the car, it handles great.
Story
One thing I think of is how protective of the car I am. I have only let a few people drive it besides myself. I love how amazed they have been about how fun and easy it is to drive. I see the look on their face as they accelerate, and I can see how tempted they are to really let loose. I like the surprise on their face when they realize how much power it has and they realize they better be car... (more)
Pros
It's very fast and fun to drive. It's easy to get carried away and forget how fast I'm going. It gives a great feeling of power when driving it, knowing that I can accelerate as much as I need to when I need to. It can pass slower moving cars easily and quickly. I love how I can feel the road beneath me, and the car grips the road tightly, which helps me keep the car well under control. I also like how the engine roars when I accelerate. The car gets surprising good gas mileage as well. It's also been extremely reliable. I've driven so many places, back and forth on half hour commutes to w... (more)
Cons
Driving alone is great, but when I have people in the car, especially in the back seat, it can get very crowded for them. If I have three other people in the car with me, it can feel slightly sluggish and doesn't accelerate as well. Space is also limited. Whenever I need to haul a lot of stuff, for instance when moving, I have to be very creative in placing things in order to maximize space. Another con is that the sound system is not so great. I never replaced it with a better one because it's not that important to me. But passengers sometimes notice.
