This vehicle is a very basic work truck. It was purchased used at a low price to be used as a second vehicle. It is an older vehicle but seems to have been properly maintained.
Story
I was able to take my daughter her first Christmas tree in her new home with this truck.
Pros
This truck has no power options and may have been a fleet vehicle, but I was able to purchase this vehicle at a very good price. As this truck has over 260,000 miles, it has proven itself to be very reliable. The engine still runs very strong and is not leaking any oil or transmission fluid. Truck is easy to park and drive as it is a smaller truck. Truck appears to be stock with no major work ever done on the engine or transmission.
Cons
The truck does make a slight squealing noise when the transmission shifts gears at higher rpms. The shocks squeak when going over bumps and need to be replaced. On occasion when the turn signal is engaged, the windshield wipers may be activated but just for one wipe. This truck also has a size 14 rim, which is difficult to find affordable tires for.

2008 Ford Ranger - Solid engine, lacks overall quality.

Overall the Ford Ranger is a solid pickup. It is one of the few small trucks that you can buy in America. The truck is no-frills, but it can get jobs done. The insides are minimal, but nothing feels too cheap. The engine is solid and not too under powered. It is not a truck that you want to get if you are interested in the latest features or gas mileage. However, it is an awesome vehicle for transporting goods. I have driven across the country twice with hundreds of pounds of materials and have not had any issues.
Story
Often I've been surrounded by huge trucks that can't even hold as much stuff as this little truck (because their beds are too small).
Pros
The seats in the truck are very comfortable. Even though they are hard, they are way better than the soft seats that you sink into. I really like how you can just wash the floor without having to take out any foot mats.
Cons
I am a techie, so this truck disappoints in the technology department. There is not even a CD player or AUX jack. Also, I have had issues with the rear axle leaking. Eventually I had to get it replaced (before 50k miles).

Well, I did not have experience with cars. In fact, I got my drivers license in my 20s! Anyway, they were a bit patient in me getting comfortable with the whole process.

Very easy process. I traded my car in and got a very fair market value. CarMax and my bank work together so things couldn't have been easier getting the financing.
