This car has had countless problems since I purchased it. This car is clearly poor quality, and I would not recommend it to anyone.
Story
This car transported me back and forth on long road trips to and from college.
Pros
The small size of the car was what drew me to purchase the car initially. It was affordable, from a reputable company, and the size of the trunk and cargo space was large relative to the size of the car.
Cons
The transmission is the first major issue. When the car shifts gears during acceleration, it feels rough and jolts, like it is struggling to change gears. It does not accelerate smoothly at all. It does not do this every time, but often enough to be bothersome. I have brought this up to the dealer and it has remained unresolved. Another problem I had with the car were the door latches. One day, I tried to close the door and it would not stay shut. I had to use rope to keep the door closed while I drove the car back to the dealer, and they had to keep the car to replace a part of the door. ... (more)

This car was an inexpensive choice for me as a first time car buyer. This is reflected in the quality and performance. I do enjoy the small size because it is easy to park in tight spaces. The mileage is pretty good. The trunk is also really spacious for such a small car. However, there have been a lot of problems to deal with. The transmission had a lot of issues, including needing to be reprogrammed at one point, and the car wouldn't start one day and needed to be towed to get fixed. The door latches all needed to be replaced after the passenger side door wouldn't stay latched shut. After driving over a bump or dip in the road, the lights on the dashboard would turn on and stay on for a random period of time until they turned off again.
Story
For being such a small car, I was able to move all of my things to and from college in San Luis Obispo, a four hour drive away.
Pros
This car was low-cost for a first time owner. It is small and easy to park in compact spots, and parallel parking is a breeze. The trunk is large and can fit a lot. The mileage is pretty decent as well.
Cons
There have been a few issues with this car. The transmission needed reprogramming and the passenger side door latch broke and all four needed to be replaced, all of which Ford took care of, but really shouldn't have been an issue at all. A strange rattling sound comes from the front of the car that has never been fixed.
