Purchased a used '04 Prius with a salvage title, and I couldn't be happier. The price was right ($7,000), it has good gas mileage, and it has some good features that other cars don't have. There are, however, a few downsides. I will explain both the pros and cons below.
Story
I was driving to my parent's new house out in the foothills, and I hit a patch of dead air (no cell service) and lost my phone navigation. I was able to pull over and put it in the onboard navigation and get back to the trip!
Pros
The top pro is the gas mileage; I don't drive conservatively, and I put about 150 miles a week. I spend $60 on gas a month, and I get about 45 miles to the gallon. The other pros are the navigation features, keyless entry, Bose sound, and interior storage. For $7,000, these features would be impossible to find in a new car.
Cons
The major con is the low power of a the Prius. It can get me to work and back, and even to the bay, but if I wanted to drive up in the mountains, prepare to be passed and harassed (for driving so slow). With a 1.5L engine, the little thing just can't take hills.

2007 Toyota Prius - Roomy, plenty of power, great gas mileage

I have been happy with this vehicle since I purchased it in 2007. I love the gas mileage, only having to go to the station once every two weeks. I love the roominess of the interior. Lots of leg room for front and back passengers. Plenty of room for groceries in the hatchback part. When I test drove it, I had to have a vehicle that could climb a large hill going over a mountain -- and it made it without any issues. I am disappointed that I didn't get the built-in GPS, the sun-roof or the Bluetooth capability. Would make it much easier. Had to purchase a separate GPS device. Would buy a new model without hesitation. Toyotas are very reliable cars and that's what made me choose this model. Needed a car with great gas mile as my commute was over an hour one way. Knowing the quality of a T... (more)
Pros
Gas Mileage Reliability of Toyota products Value -- they hold their value in today's markets Roomy -- very deceiving -- people were surprised when they sat inside Comfort -- can drive long distances without back issues.
Cons
I don't have any negative things to say about this vehicle -- I love my Toyota Prius and plan to buy another one when this one no longer runs......

Prior to coming here, we received several quotes from other dealerships in the area. However, Antioch Toyota offered us the best price in the area. The staff was courteous and did not push us to buy other add-on's which we greatly appreciated. The overall experience of buying a car was quick and easy.

I have bought three cars from Elk Grove Toyota in the last 4 years. I have also been having my cars service with little to knows problems. If I do run into a problem just write them an e-mail and they try to work with you to fix the problem.
