Purchased a used '04 Prius with a salvage title, and I couldn't be happier. The price was right ($7,000), it has good gas mileage, and it has some good features that other cars don't have. There are, however, a few downsides. I will explain both the pros and cons below.
Story
I was driving to my parent's new house out in the foothills, and I hit a patch of dead air (no cell service) and lost my phone navigation. I was able to pull over and put it in the onboard navigation and get back to the trip!
Pros
The top pro is the gas mileage; I don't drive conservatively, and I put about 150 miles a week. I spend $60 on gas a month, and I get about 45 miles to the gallon. The other pros are the navigation features, keyless entry, Bose sound, and interior storage. For $7,000, these features would be impossible to find in a new car.
Cons
The major con is the low power of a the Prius. It can get me to work and back, and even to the bay, but if I wanted to drive up in the mountains, prepare to be passed and harassed (for driving so slow). With a 1.5L engine, the little thing just can't take hills.

I really enjoy driving my Prius. It has great visibility, a comfortable interior, and I like the way it looks on the outside too. I know the style can be somewhat polarizing, but I quite like it. The hatchback design allows for tons of space in the back. The car is fun to drive, and I like how silent it is. The gas mileage is amazing both for city driving and highway. The installed JBL speakers are great for listening to my weekly playlists generated by Spotify. It's also great for listening to podcasts on long drives up the coast, which I take every other weekend to visit my friends in San Francisco.
Story
My roommate and I decided to go hiking in Angeles National Forest, and I drove since my car had the better gas mileage. The drive up the mountain was kind of scary, but the Prius did a great job! At the trailhead it was really nice to have the trunk open and sit in back while we laced up our boots.
Pros
My favorite thing about this vehicle by far is the great gas mileage. I feel like I'm doing some good for the environment, and also save a considerable amount of money on gas. The other thing I love is the lever for changing gears (putting the car into reverse, drive, etc.). It is so smooth to transition and just feels really natural.
Cons
I've noticed some wear to the interior, and the exterior seems to scratch kind of easily. But those are just aesthetic issues, which don't really bother me too much. A couple weeks after purchasing the car, the light on the dash for tire pressure went off. I tried putting air in all the tires, even though none of them looked low, and the light was still on. I eventually took it to a shop to have it looked at, and they didn't find anything wrong with the tires either. I think they put a bit more air in, and then the light went off. It was a little weird and I'm not sure why the light came o... (more)

Prior to coming here, we received several quotes from other dealerships in the area. However, Antioch Toyota offered us the best price in the area. The staff was courteous and did not push us to buy other add-on's which we greatly appreciated. The overall experience of buying a car was quick and easy.

I have bought three cars from Elk Grove Toyota in the last 4 years. I have also been having my cars service with little to knows problems. If I do run into a problem just write them an e-mail and they try to work with you to fix the problem.
