I like how low cost the parts are, how easy it is for me to replace parts and how long the parts last. It may not be the coolest car on the block but if you're working class, it is the perfect car. It rarely breaks down and when it does, there are plenty of warning signs. It performs well enough to get me to Point A from Point B without any issues. It's comfortable and easy to use.
Story
I enjoyed driving through the Los Angeles mountains in the pouring rain. It didn't handle excellently but it was fun.
Pros
I like how low cost the parts are for when I need to replace a part. I also like how easy it is to take out a part and put in a new one. I also like how certain parts last longer than other vehicles. It can survive a cross country road trip and if it takes any damage, than it won't depreciate the value by much. Perfect to take through a rural area or bad street without worrying about bad things happening.
Cons
It is definitely not a car that I would take to a street race. It is not a car I would show off at a car meet up. It is not a car that I would try to maximize its performance and drive it through a race track. It is definitely not worthy of playing Eurobeat in it, as I cruise through a mountain pass and do an inertia drift. I'll keep my street racing to the arcades.

I have owned this car for 16.5 years, and it has 254K miles. I have done nothing but oil changes, tire changes, a new radiator and no other issues. It is incredibly reliable.
Story
My son as a passenger threw rocks at stop signs through the sunroof. We had just completed a soccer tournament, and we thought we would have some fun and boy did we.
Pros
The back seat area has incredible leg room. Spacious. The car is the quietest (inside) that I have ever ridden in. The cargo space in the trunk is phenomenal. In the back seat there is actually a 110V plug in which most cars have today but not sure about in 2000. The ride is very smooth. The interior dash is super appointed. Very sexy. The drivers side has plenty of room. I am 6' 3" tall and have no problem getting in and out. The standard rims make the car look more like a luxury vehicle. The leather seats are very comfortable and long lasting. There are no splits or tears.
Cons
Front-wheel drive which makes the tires wear more quickly than rear wheel drive. The side views while driving are not the clearest. I once lost both sets of keys and Toyota claimed they had to redo the whole ignition for $1K, which is ridiculous. The handling is poor. The acceleration is also below average for cars in its class.

The location was nearest to my house to start with. Second, it is located in an area with many small side streets. It is more of an industrial area so it is very welcoming for test drives. It makes me nervous to test drive a vehicle in a crowded area, so I felt comfortable going for a test drive. It also had a good local reputation at the time I test drove a car.
