2008 Toyota Sienna - A Great Minivan for a Family

I never wanted to buy a minivan. Minivans have always seemed boring and lame. After driving my Toyota Sienna for the last five years, I think I would be unhappy owning anything else. The minivan has three rows of seats with roomy trunk space. I have fit my child's jogger stroller into that trunk without even collapsing it first. When I want extra trunk space, we fold down the last row of seats and the trunk becomes positively massive! We can fit 10 suitcases, an ice chest, a stroller, a playpen, and beach toys and chairs into the expanded trunk.
Story
We took it to the beach and were able to take half the house with us. Plus, we had plenty of room for souvenirs.
Pros
Pros include a sliding door that opens by remote, which is perfect when you have kids (also makes the traffic circle at school a snap). Everyone has plenty of leg room and there are probably ten cup holders throughout. The center panel between the driver and passenger seat can collapse, so that makes storage easy and it's easy to access the middle seat. Also, it has child locks on the doors and windows. There are buttons for the stereo on the steering wheel and a button to open the garage door. It gets good gas mileage and its a very smooth ride. It turns on a dime and accelerates like a s... (more)
Cons
It looks like a soccer mom vehicle and the original 6-disc CD changer died suddenly.

I have had this van for 2 years and me and my family love it! We have owned 2 other vans of a different make but the 2015 Toyota Sienna XLE surpasses them by a lot. The interior is very nice and of high quality. We have driven this car over 75 thousand miles and it hasn't given us any trouble. If you are looking for a good van that will last, this is the one.
Story
We have a short freeway onramp by our house and the kids love it because I really have to "punch it" to get on with a decent speed. We call it "drag racing."
Pros
There is a lot of room in this van which is important especially if you have little kids. The second row seats are adjustable so you can fit multiple car seats if necessary. The storage in the back is amazing! The third row seats are really easy to put down with almost triples your cargo space in the back. Even with the seats up, the cargo in the back is very deep so you can easily fit a stroller and groceries.
Cons
The Sienna isn't really that nice to look at. I personally feel that the body lines make it look more like a hearse than a van. It will take a little while to get used to driving this van also. It is really spacious on the inside but that creates problems when your driving and constantly having to check you blind spots. It drives and handles very nice but the visibility is very limited, especially if you're short.

I was new to the US when I purchased the car, did not know much English, and was afraid of speaking with a salesman. The people there were very friendly, understanding, and ready to answer all questions. Helped me with car registration at DMV, too.

It was amazing, I was in and out in less than an hour and a half. I knew the guy who did finance and they treated me amazing. I usually hate car dealerships. The salesperson was very laid back and didn't push me at all.
