This is the first Mazda car I've ever bought, and I'm highly impressed. The interior is a very nice leather with red stitching. I chose this model in particular, because it came with an entertainment package including a nine-speaker Bose audio system. It's very loud and sounds like there's a subwoofer, but there isn't. I get compliments all the time on how nice it sounds. I also get complimented on how smooth the car rides. I took a trip to Los Angeles with a couple buddies, and they absolutely loved it, even after being in it for eight hours.
Story
I drove a group of friends in San Francisco to Los Angeles this year, and they absolutely loved the ride in the car.
Pros
My absolute favorite feature by far is the Bose speaker system. It's loud and sounds crystal clear. I love cranking my music up when I drive, so it's perfect for me. I also like the interior a lot. The red stitching really pops out on the black leather. Mazda's also require very little care. I've driven almost 30,000 miles so far and haven't had to repair anything yet.
Cons
The only con I really have is the color. I don't mind the grey color I bought, but I wish they had the dark blue or black color in stock. They couldn't get it for me in time, but they had plenty of the grey color I bought, and I needed the car fast.

This is my second Mazda3. Love the look of it compared to the 2012, but it still has what I love in this version. I like the updated navigation system though I wish it could be linked with my phone's maps. The leather interior is also an upgrade with red stitching. I have the 2.5L engine and I love how I can easily merge on the freeway. But with the bigger engine, the fuel efficiency drops. So I'm not sure which I would prefer more... better mileage or better performance. If I do lay off the gas pedal some, I can easily get between 35-40mpg.
Story
Going through the Malibu mountain pass I was able to use the paddle shifters. This makes the drive more exciting.
Pros
I love that it's a hatchback! I can easily fit 2 bikes with the front wheels taken off. I have lots of room for transporting things. I also enjoy that it can read text messages while I'm driving. Love the blind spot monitoring. It has definitely saved me on a few occasions. I can fit 5 people altogether with the back seats not squishing the passengers.
Cons
The 2.5L engine's fuel performance can average around 33mpg. Also I do not care for the sport tires it came with... just seems like a waste of money in the future.

Ease of purchase was very simple and straightforward. The car salesmen also had great credibility. He was very trustworthy and didn't seem to be playing us. I appreciated his efforts to remain transparent and helpful throughout the car buying experience.
