The 1997 Ford Ranger has been a reliable truck for me for the last six years that I have owned it. It's four-wheel drive capabilities are great and have gotten me through six northeast winters. The interior is simple in design but provides everything you need. It has allowed for easy adaption of an aftermarket radio, and the speakers provide excellent sound quality.
Story
The truck has taken me to numerous different state parks that I mountain bike at.
Pros
The best thing about the Ford Ranger is the accessibility and ease of working on it. Over the six years that I have owned it, I have been able to complete most of the work that the truck has required, such as replacement of parts that wear out such as breaks, shocks, etc. The truck is perfect for anyone who is into biking and mountain biking. The truck bed is 4ft wide by 6ft long, allowing for just about anything you need to fit inside of it.
Cons
The biggest negative about the truck is that after 21 years on the road, it needs work just about every year. But that is something that any vehicle this old would need, you just need to have the will to fix things each year that you own it.

Overall, this is a great vehicle. With over 250,000 miles on it, there are no major issues that have come up . The size of the truck is much smaller than newer trucks, which is great for living in the city and being able to park wherever. Paired with 4WD and a manual transmission, this is a vehicle that will last forever and can get you anywhere whether it is the country or the city.
Story
Hunting in the fall and getting stuck with two deer in the back and having to get tow straps out to make it out.
Pros
Perfect size for just about anything. Small enough to run errands around town and be able to park in any parking spot but also big enough to use as a work truck and haul materials or trailers around. Manual transmission and 4WD. Makes it great for living in the country where some roads are dirt and don't get plowed or cleared and some days are just covered in mud. It allows for you to get yourself out of just about any situation that you would come across.
Cons
This vehicle is no longer made the same. A new one was introduced; however, it is much larger and nothing like the older model. It is mostly an underpowered F-150.

We liked our experience with this dealership. The van we were looking for was not there but the day we called and said we wanted to see it, they had someone drive over an hour to go pick it up for us to see ASAP. We also have 5 kids and they made it as convenient as possible to pick up the vehicle and fill out paper work.

How pleasant everyone was! They showed me graphs and charts about the same type of car I was buying, mileage vs. price, and on every one they provided the lowest price. They even went lower after bargaining with me for a little!
