My main reasons for purchasing this vehicle was to have a reliable vehicle for transportation to and from work, reasonable gas mileage and good resale value. So far, this car has done an outstanding job on all three accounts! I’m always leery about buying used vehicles, but because this is a Honda I felt fairly confident about it seeing as how the resale value is pretty great for its age. The body of the vehicle is nice and sleek which makes it easy on the eyes as well. I generally get between 27 and 34 miles to the gallon (depending on whether I’m driving city or highway miles). One of the things that surprised me about the car was how much I enjoyed the weight of it. I have another car that is very light and easily hydroplanes when it rains. This car is very weighty, which makes me f... (more)
Story
I enjoyed driving this car on a road trip down to the see the state capital. It's such a smooth ride and the look of the car really boosts morale.
Pros
This car gets great gas mileage (roughly 27 to 34 MPG). The car requires little maintenance and has not given me any major mechanical problems. The look of the car is sleek and modern even though it is over 10 years old now. The bucket seats are very comfortable and the car offers some nice luxury features such as cruise control, rims, power windows and tilt wheel. The air conditioning is also great! It gets extremely hot in Texas, so A/C is very important to us.
Cons
I have very little to say about this car that is negative. However, I do have one major complaint which is the radio wiring. There is something wrong with the wiring of the radio that drains the battery. The radio randomly turns on and off after the car itself has been turned off which drains the battery. I have unplugged the radio so that I no longer have this issue and it can easily be resolved by replacing the radio. From what I understand, this is a common issue with the 2005 models. The only other con I can think of is that the headliner is not very durable and sags over time. This is... (more)

Overall, the 2003 Honda Accord is an older car but it is an extremely reliable old car. Despite the car's age, it continues to run very smoothly requiring minimal maintenance not generally typical of such a vehicle. It definitely has its cons, many of which associated with the older age of the vehicle. This is not to say the car itself is not good, but it should just be known that older cars often do not have all the amenities of more modern vehicles.
Story
My most memorable story about this car would have to be the time my friends and I decided to drag race through a back roads close by to my city. We had just recently acquired our cars and of course being the young kids we were, we all wanted to test our limits. After not much convincing, I was able to get all of my friends to drive approximately half an hour into the middle of no where, where ... (more)
Pros
The Honda Accord has great gas mileage. I do not have to fill up my car's gas tank as often compared to my friends who must regularly go for gas runs. Additionally, It requires very little maintenance and I rarely have to see a mechanic for my car. The engine is incredible smooth which is remarkable considering how old the car is.
Cons
The biggest cons associated with an older Honda Accord generally revolve around the fact that much of its systems are rather outdated. For instance, the central radio console is an older one without an accessible Aux port. Additionally, general use of the car over the years has lead to typical wear and tear that has required replacements and fixes.

They made the process for buying a car very easy and simple. It was my first car and I did not know what I was doing, so I checked online for what to look out for and shady tactics dealers do. This dealer displayed none of those shady tactics and was very nice and informative. Plus the car is great and I am very satisfied with my purchase.

They were very nice and easy to work with. They had the best internet price for the car. They did not have the car on the lot so I left. The sales person called me 20 minutes later and he found it on a truck for me and had it brought up to the store.

I liked how the dealer people were very understanding. They didn't try to pressure you to buy anything and they were also very down to earth. They offered me a fair price and let me bide my time in making my decision, there is nothing I hate more than being pressured into doing something
