2003 Honda Pilot - A Gracious Van Replacement
I really like my Honda Pilot because it does make a decent replacement to my van, which was a seven passenger seater. When we add the optional row in the Honda it becomes a six-passenger seater. It handles well. It looks small but handles like a big boy, which I love. In addition, there is enough room for me to tote my two teenagers and our new arrival in a few weeks.
Story
We have weekly ministry assignments. One Saturday we piled myself, my children, and another complete family in the truck. We had a great day that ended with lunch downtown. It was wonderful.
Pros
I really like the highness of the Honda Pilot. I am short in stature, so sitting high is a real pro for me when I'm driving. There is plenty of deck and interior space in the front seat. The truck accommodates my growing tummy lovely. My teenage is driving now. While she was afraid to drive my van, she's not afraid to drive the Pilot, which is plus. I also love the HTM wheel system, which will be an advantage if we get snow and ice this year.
Cons
The biggest con I have is that the Honda Pilot does not seem to be fuel efficient. However, it is a 2003 and used. It is possible that I need to get a thorough tune up. The Honda is a foreign car, so I'm sure some maintenance and parts will be more expensive than I am used to with my van.
2009 Honda Pilot - Great first car
We purchased this as a first car for our daughter on her way to college. It's spacious enough to carry everything she needed without being too big for her to maneuver. The previous owner took good care of it. Even with almost 100,000 miles, it still handles smoothly. Highway driving was a breeze the suspension handles rough terrain well.
Story
My daughter took her friends camping, and they had a wonderful weekend singing around the campfire and roasting marshmallows.
Pros
The car is very spacious on the inside with seating for seven. The third row is removable, which allows for even more space. The radio and speakers that come standard in the car are pretty great. The leather interior is well put together and a nice peanut butter color. The car is years old, but the leather does not look like it.
Cons
The design of the Pilot is reminiscent of a minivan, but that is purely aesthetic. The gas mileage was not as great as some other SUVs, especially for it to be a midsize. I'm told the gas mileage used to be better when first purchased. I may try a flush on the engine to see if that helps at all.

2012 Honda Pilot - Rusty Wallis Honda Dallas
Great customer service. Willing to listen to the specific needs of the customer. Patient and friendly. Went above and beyond their means to accommodate the customer. Excellent service center. The service performed has been exceptional and I've never had to return because of a incorrect or faulty repair. They'll even clean your vehicle for you before you pick it up.
