I have owned this car for only a few months and am already very much in love with it. It rides incredibly smooth and I can't feel the road under the tires most of the time. The interior is amazing, extremely high class and I would've expected to pay more for the navigation and stereo system than I did. The style is unlike most vehicles out there, both sporty and classy at the same time, and Toyota has definitely managed to merge the two looks in a way that you can't help but notice. The fuel economy of the vehicle is completely unreal. On the highway, I can usually get upwards of 38 miles to the gallon, and almost always have around 28 in the city. I love the indicators, as they definitely help you to maintain fuel economy. Also love that it has both a sport mode (which my husband love... (more)
Story
I had pulled up to the pet store and was opening the back of my vehicle to let my dog out. She is a saint Bernard, and is not a small dog. I had somebody stop me and tell me that we looked like we were getting out of a clown car because there was so much of her and what looked like so little car. I actually showed them the inside and how spacious it was for her and they told me that they were ... (more)
Pros
I love the fuel economy. It's amazing to only have to fill up a vehicle once every two weeks (using it every day!). The eco mode on the car definitely helps out, and the smoothness of the ride never changes the entire time, no matter the mode the car is in. Also, I love the leather seats and the overall look of the vehicle, both inside and out. I really cannot emphasize how much it has the high class look for the low price! I've gotten so many compliments on it, often from complete strangers. I also love the A/C system, which seems silly, but seeing as I live in Texas and it's usually 110 ... (more)
Cons
I can't really name very many negative things about the vehicle. I simply love it. If pressed, I could say that the rear view camera would be better with curved guidelines instead of straight, and it could definitely use a sensor when you get too close to something. I would also say that it could use a side sensor on the mirrors so you know when to not merge into a lane because there may be a vehicle in your blind spot. One other thing I can say is that the car is supposed to come with Sirius or XM radio (according to the booklet in the dealership), but once you buy the car, you find out t... (more)

This is the second RAV4 that we have owned and was so pleased with our older model that upon expiration of the lease, we purchased the 2012 model. For a family of four with two children under eight, our kids have grown up in both vehicles. It has met our family's needs. It is a step above a "no frills" vehicle, though it provides a few extras, including a moon roof and Bluetooth, which have benefited us when we travel on pleasant weather days or need to play on demand content. Unlike newer models, the back door opens on a vertical hinge instead of the newer horizontal hinge. We actually prefer the look and the utility of the vertical hinge (feels less suburban or family-like). The vehicle is dependable, and we have had no issues after 100,000+ miles (except replacing tires). Now a disl... (more)
Story
Fun times with the kids in which we drop down the rear seats, layout blankets, and enjoy the drive-in movies. Then we drive home with the windows down and moon roof open.
Pros
I enjoy the moon roof on pleasant days, the Bluetooth/CD player for entertaining the kids, and the rear for storing bikes, bats, and hiking gear.
Cons
The Bluetooth system is dated, the visor wore down too easily, and the rear space is limited. Some of these are pros in that they are included, but cons in that they aren't quite to par. Also, I would like to have a rear-view camera.

My favorite thing about Classic Toyota is their service department. They are heavily staffed with mechanics and they will get you in and out quickly for routine maintenance. I have purchased two cars from Classic and have been pleased with both vehicles and service when it was needed.
