2013 Kia Sportage - Dependable Vehicle
Overall, the vehicle is very solid and dependable. The interior leather seats stand the test of time. I have had no problems with the transmission or engine to date. Although the backseat could use a little more legroom and different configuration of cupholders, this vehicle overall provides good quality for the price paid.
Story
I do not have any location-specific story for this Vehicle.
Pros
The engine can really accelerate quickly for passing vehicles on two lane highways. Really enjoy the setup of the interior as far as the Air Conditioning, CD player, and location of the transmission for shifting. The bucket seats on the driver and passenger side seem to fit the typical body-type better relative to even higher end SUVs, such as Mercedes.
Cons
The interior legroom in the backseat is lacking. The tires seemed to run out of tread quicker relative to other SUV's with normal wear and tear. Also, the backseat could use a better configuration of cupholders for those seated in the rear.
2011 Kia Sportage - Well built
The Kia Sportage has enough room for five passengers, and from personal experience can hold enough camping gear to take a weekend excursion. The passenger space combined with the equipment space is a huge draw for me.
I never saw myself driving an SUV type vehicle but I have been pleasantly surprised by my Kia. It has smooth handling and a decent gas mileage (~27 MPG), and over the course of the year that I have owned it the only major issue I have had was with a brake sensor that was fixed under warranty at no cost to myself.
The safety features of this car are excellent as well. I have never been in an accident with it to test the airbags, but the seatbelts are well placed and very responsive even to sudden breaking. The engine has a break-away mount that moves it away from the ca... (more)
Story
I have taken four other people to a camping trip in my car, including all gear. It was a close fit but we had a blast traveling to and from the campsite.
Pros
The car has excellent gas mileage, with a decent sized tank that keeps costs low. The maintenance on it has been low cost and easy as well. It has ample leg space front and back and has not had any major noises to take away from the driving experience.
Cons
I wish that it had air conditioning vents directly to the back of the vehicle, which can make for an uncomfortable ride for passengers at times. The side windows can make for large blind spots, but a quick turn-check ensures total safety.

2012 Kia Soul - Rush Chevrolet Elgin
The salesman we dealt with was very nice and helpful. He tried very hard to find us a vehicle that would meet our needs and be within our budget.
2012 Kia Forte - Moritz Kia Hurst
They were polite and made the process easy. I was shown the car I wanted and the sales person explained how to do some of the technology in the car. He even setup the bluetooth with my phone.
