2010 Ford Escape - Great for local and distance driving
After extensive review of vehicles available with similar size and features, the 2010 Ford Escape proved to be one of the most competitively priced vehicles matching my vehicle needs. There are multiple options available from many manufacturers for those who prefer the smaller crossover design rather than the behemoth SUV models on the show room floor.
Story
The ability to stream audio books over the stereo proved to be invaluable to a recent cross country holiday drive last year.
Pros
The pros include many specific details I wanted in a new vehicle. The smaller SUV size is great for solo and group travel, offering plenty of space for luggage, camping, and shopping storage. The Escape was an excellent choice for long distance holiday and vacation travel, as well as a perfect solution for weekend camping trips. The Blue-tooth connectivity allows easy access to GPS directions, streaming music and podcasts, and hands free phone use.
Cons
The few cons of the Escape include primarily features that do not carry a long-term value. The Sirius/XM radio was a nice option with it's free service for the first few months of owning the vehicle. Unfortunately, this service is a bit dated and lower quality when compared to what is available for streaming from a smart phone via blue tooth connectivity. It is unfortunate that the Sirius/XM hardware is so tightly bundled to this model.
2015 Ford Escape - Very basic
The car is nice. A great family car. Durable. Dependable. The gas tank is small so we are filling up the car at least twice a week. We enjoy that the back seats fold down for extra cargo room. One button close is nice feature on trunk. Automatic starts is reliable, easy to use on cold days and hot days. I am a mother of three, so there is ample room for kids and trunk has plenty of room for all the kids back packs, soccer equipment, and camping gear.
Story
We went camping, and it was so hot we slept in the car with the air on all night!
Pros
I enjoy the capless gas tank. It makes filing up easy and not messy at all. I love the digital speedometer. Even though the main one is a needle, there is a small digital one. Setting the cruise control is easy, and adjusting the speed up and down is simple as well. The air/heater work well in extreme temperatures.
Cons
The automatic trunk never opens all the way. I bump my head all the time. The car is nice but is missing a luxury feeling. The navigation needs to update more often with developing neighborhoods and streets. The air vents blow at awkward angles. When you turn off the lights at night, the dashboard lights practically blind you.

I love the service, the cashback deals, and the low interest rate offers during the holidays.
