Our salesman was very attentive to our needs and made sure we were well taken care of. The dealership gave us a great trade-in for my old car. They let us take the van overnight to try it out. The dealership was clean and had activities for our children while we bought the car. There was coffee and plenty of snacks for us while we waited.

Germain Honda, formerly Howard Cooper Honda, is where I bought my 2006 Honda Civic years ago when it was new. I got a great resale value on my 2003 Mini Cooper at the time, and have had great (though not inexpensive) routine maintenance on my Civic several times since then. This dealership has had a great reputation for decades and I would recommend it to anyone.

I bought this car used for $1200 with 185,000 miles on it. Despite the area that it was kept being notorious for terrible Winters, it had very little rust, no squeaks or rattles and no suspension issues what so ever. For it being a 1997 I was exceptionally pleased with the fact that there were also no leaks. A year later and 30,000 miles put into it, I have only had to change the brakes, and the distributer cap. It reliably starts up perfect every single time with out fail and runs beautifully. The gas mileage it receives for being as old as it is absolutely phenomenal considering how expensive gas is these days. I can easily drive a full week back and forth to my job 5 miles away plus other miscellaneous trips to various stores and other errands on less than 20$ in gas per week. Very... (more)
Story
I took this car for the first time on a road trip to Cincinnati to see some family and was actually a tad nervous about taking such an old car on the freeway for such a long trip despite it being in terrific condition. Driving through downtown Detroit on the freeway at 6am with the sunroof open and all the windows down was a wonderful experience. The car handled great, it ran smoothly the whol... (more)
Pros
Some of my favorite things about this car are easily the price of maintenance being exceptionally low, repair parts cost exceptionally less than most cars on the road currently, because it's a common car these days lots of mechanics know how to work on them so finding a good shop is easy, the gas mileage is amazing especially for it being nearly 20 years old, the engine is well built and very reliable, the suspension is very solid for something that drives on Michigan's terrible roads all the time, the seats are comfortable and well made which is also a huge plus for someone who enjoys roa... Cons
The cd changer is located in the trunk, which was a common feature in cars in that era from what I understand, however it can be a hassle on a road trip to have to stop to get in the trunk to change cds, as it only holds 6 so often we resort to using a tape adapter and a portable cd player in the car so we can just change out cds that way. Also, the powered windows are a personal distaste of mine simply because the motors can burn out causing the window to no longer operate properly. It does sit fairly low to the ground so you have to be extra careful when driving over larger potholes and ... (more)

This is the first Honda we have owned, purchased after hearing many Honda owners highly praise their vehicles. I am not a big car enthusiast, but I truly enjoy both riding and driving this vehicle. I especially like the leather heated seats! It gets very good gas mileage and we have had few mechanical problems... most associated costs have been routine maintenance. It is a comfortable ride, and it is exceptionally easy to make adjustments in the driver's seat. I am surprised how large the trunk area is, especially given a sufficiently roomy back seat. The pass through from trunk to front has been extremely useful since we gave up our truck to get this more efficient vehicle. Even though we have over 60,000 miles on it, it still runs well and has never surprised us by not starting or by... (more)
Story
Our son and daughter-in-law also obtained (second hand) a Honda Accord. They didn't know that if you hold the unlock button down, all the windows will roll down. That is another feature we like when it is hot,and it was fun to share that knowledge with them.
Pros
Good gas mileage Mechanically reliable Easy adjustment of driver's seat Clean, neat look both inside and out Comfortable quiet smooth ride Affordable
Cons
Not a truck, but still okay for carrying many things Not USA company, but then again, made in USA Black Accord; common vehicle thus hard to spot in parking lot! But really, not many negatives; overall quite happy with this car
