2009 Honda Civic - Best First Car
In my opinion, I think this car is a great car for anyone. It is also a good quality car for the price of about $20,000 I paid. After owning and driving the car for 6 years, I have had no problems with the performance of the car. It handles really well, it has a really good turning radius for U-turns, and I have had no issues with the mechanics of the car so far. I would say that the design of the car is okay. I would have liked the front hood of the car to be more elongated and sleek-looking. I have leather seats in the car, and I think they are really high quality. The interior design is my favorite part about the car. I really like the dashboard because the miles per hour is displayed in a digital format; also, the design and colors utilized are really pleasing to the eye. The car a... (more)
Story
I remember one time I was the designated driver for my friends when we went bar hopping in my city. They were extremely drunk, and I had to strap on their seatbelts like they were little kids.
Pros
The top positive things about this vehicle: comfortable leather seats, good gas mileage, and can turn easily.
My favorite features of this vehicle: the USB port/charger, dashboard design, and heated seats for the winter.
Cons
The top negative things about this vehicle: the car is really low to the ground, the hood design looks stunted, and not the fastest car to accelerate.
2007 Honda Civic - Reliable and sufficient
This car has been through three states and four cities throughout its time in my procession. It has been reliable enough to get me to and from work every day, as well as, when I have gone on some cross-country traveling adventures. There isn't much that I dislike about this car other than the tire rims, which were easily scuffed by my awesome parallel parking jobs in the city against various curbs.
Story
Before purchasing this car, I owned a Buick Lasabre that we named 'Deathtrap'. We almost dies multiple times riding in that car (brakes giving out, trunk scraping the road, tires flying off, etc.) that purchasing this car and dealing with its quirkiness was a godsend.
Pros
This car is incredibly reliable. One of the reasons I purchased this vehicle was that this make and model was listed on every "Car Mechanics Hate Most' lists due to it rarely having issues and if issues do arise, them being super easy to fix.
Cons
The car isn't always big enough for all the groceries we buy sometimes or friends we need to tote around. Our cat was also afraid of trips in this car, which could possibly be attributed to the sound because sometimes it sounds like the windows are down even when they are rolled all the way up.
