My fiancée and I were pleasantly surprised about this car. We share a car for both of our commutes. Initially, we chose this car for the gas mileage and price. Over time though we have come to enjoy other features. When we purchased a new coffee table we were unsure we would be able to fit said coffee table in the car due to its size. But, we were wrong. Thanks to the back seat folding down we did just fine. My biggest complaint is the quality of some of the items on the car. We have lost two hubcaps in one year. I have no idea where they are. The driver visor has needed to be taken off and reglued. Overall, the car is a good value and does have great gas mileage. Just be aware of the little things on the car that can slowly begin to add up.
Story
On my day off I decided to drive out to Ikea. We needed a new coffee table and I couldn't find anything locally that we liked. I was a little worried about the trip alone since we hadn't taken the car that far yet. But it did great in New Jersey traffic. Super responsive and easy to handle. The main issue came when I went to put the coffee table in the car. Took me almost half an hour but fina... (more)
Pros
Love the great gas mileage. I have to commute about twenty miles every day one way, so I love how little this car hurts my wallet. It's also very reliable. Even in the below freezing temperatures we get in the North East, I have never had a problem. It has a great build where it can fit my tall fiancée and still not feel super large for shorter me.
Cons
Because I am short sometimes I have a harder time looking out the back window. I also feel as if my regular blind spot is larger than normal. Another issue I notice is that, maybe because of the price, some of the features feel a little cheap. Such as the visor and hub caps. Of which we have lost two.

2004 Honda Civic - Very good car. Has lasted a long time. The miles per gallon is excellent

The 2004 Honda Civic coupe has been my stalwart baby car, the first I ever purchased on my own. She's dependable, very economical, and I've never had a problem with her. I have maintained her exactly according to the recommendations in the owner's manual and she performs like a champ day after day. Whether in the city or on a road trip, she's a dream. I highly recommend this car. The only reason I even consider moving on (to another Honda, of course) is because it's a two-door coupe and my family is expanding. This car is a single person car and super fun to drive!
Story
driving on the way to go fishing and i was on the highway going fast and my wife grabbed the handle cause she got scared. then we get to where we were goign and she says pa it was fun.lol
Pros
I owned this car in 4-door LX 4 speed auto for four years, and other than the fact that this little car handled like crazy and could take an off ramp at 60 mph with ease, that's where my admiration ends. Post ownership, and for the life of me I cannot grasp the Honda hype that led me to plunk down my cash on this vehicle. I just plainly don't know what sparks such admiration for Honda Civics. The car was vastly underpowered for daily commuter driving around the queens area. I am fond of saying that Civics can't manage to get out of their own way. Was it the auto trans that muted power?... (more)
Cons
The general low center of gravity design of Civics is not friendly to queens area winter driving where roads are littered with icebergs, and snow laden driveways present simple ambulatory problems to a Civic. Silly little things would break or become inoperable... for example, the gas door release cable gave up after a short amount of time and plastic interior trim piece would break with even the gentlest of use. Overall, for the rather high initial acquisition cost of a Honda Civic, there were few standards to add value. I leave this brand numb to the Honda hype.

Very straightforward customer service. The associates did not feel overbearing or annoying while they were showing me cars. They offered me a great deal and were very friendly and approachable during the entire process. I am very pleased with the car I purchased from Garber Automotive several years ago, and I would go back again.
