This car has been on the road for about 76,000 miles but it still rides strongly and reliable. Honda is a brand from Japan and Japanese branded automobiles are known for their strengths in reliability. The car was easy to maintain and is not expensive. There were a good amount of features that was included in my vehicle but the build quality was considered below average at its time.
Story
Honda Civics are popular among my location so my friend and I tried to count the number of Honda Civics we passed by while we drove to our destination. We counted over 30 of them during our 20 minute drive.
Pros
One huge positive thing about this car is its reliability and easy maintenance. This car has not yet failed me at all. I also really enjoy the Bluetooth audio and calling feature that is built into the car because I am always streaming music through it. I also enjoy the fact that it is easy on gas! I get about 33 MPG from doing a mixed amount of freeway and city driving. I also enjoy the digital speedometer and the iMID screen as well.
Cons
Although there are good aspects about this car, there are many things I did not like about it. The one thing that makes me very upset about this car is that it is very different than the 2013 civic. Although it is the same generation of Civics, Honda has made a complete change with the next year's model, giving it better styling, better build quality, and standard Bluetooth and backup camera. Although there was a Bluetooth function in my trim level, I had to pay extra while the next model year had it standard for all trim levels. I was also very displeased over the fact that I could not ge... (more)

I purchased my 2016 Civic in February of last year as an early college graduation present to myself. It's a manual LX sedan in a fetching shade they call "Aegean Blue", and my second Honda product but certainly not my last. Prior to the first, I had a run of terribly bad luck with unreliable cars so reliability was a top priority during my shopping process. As a recent college grad, I was also particularly focused on value for money, on account of the fact that I have none. So far, the Civic has served me extremely well on both counts, as well as being a joy to drive.
Story
After I actually graduated (a few months after purchase), I took my partner on a thousand mile road trip with a loop that took us through California, Arizona, and Nevada. We both saw the Grand Canyon for the first time, fell in love with Flagstaff, and finished the trip off with a swanky room in Vegas. I'll remember it for the rest of my life.
Pros
I am absolutely smitten with the styling. It's modern, daring, and aggressive like nothing else priced within $10k of it. For a base model, I was surprised with the feature content. It comes standard with a backup camera, Bluetooth phone/audio hookup, USB charging ports, TPMS, and hill start assist. The ride is exceptionally comfortable and quiet for a compact car, with agile handling and one of the best manual gearboxes I've ever used.
Cons
Apart from the two minor mechanical issues detailed below in the "problems" section, my only complaint about the vehicle is that at the time of purchase, Honda was only offering a manual transmission on the base model (i.e. non-turbo engine, no options available to speak of) sedan. Within six months, they introduced a new body style, and a few months after that they introduced the manual for turbo engines and mid-trim vehicles.

The dealer made me feel appreciated. The cost of the car was great. The loan terms were easy and understandable. The car was cleaned up very nicely. Overall a positive experience, will shop here again.
