2008 Honda Civic - Bigger interior then you would think.

Great gas mileage. I think the performance is awesome for a car in its class. It picks up nicely and feels like a drivers car. The interior is roomy, not at all cramped. I have put a lot of stuff in the car and was amazed at how well it fit. The back row of seats actually fold down and there is like a little door that opens from the inside of the trunk to the interior of the car. I have actually transported a 6' ladder by placing it into the trunk and through the opening, over the folded down seats, and in between the two front seats. It has a full compliment of air bags, plenty of head room, and the drivers seat is adjustable to go up or down. The cloth interior and carpeting is still holding up after 9 years with tears or signs of wear. The only con that I can really come up with wou... (more)
Story
I'm a cheapskate and really wanted to find a 6' wooden ladder at the lowest possible price. I finally found one at a second hand store and bought it without thinking how I would get it into the car. I went out into the parking lot and looked at the car doubtfully. After folding down the trunk door and back seats I was absolute thrilled that the ladder could fit in such a small car without a pr... (more)
Pros
I like the way the car drives. I was impressed and still am nine years later with the pick up. When I was shopping for a new car I test drove several other makes in the same class and with some of them I honestly felt like I was riding a lawn mower, very rough ride, engine bogged down and it just wouldn't get out or it's own way. However, when I test drove the Civic everything was different when it comes to that. The pick up was great, the engine did not bog down at all, but ran very smoothly. I felt like this was a drivers car and so I bought it.
Cons
The car doesn't seem to be too air tight when it comes to letting the cold in. If it is parked outside on a cold winter day the car is really cold inside and when you go to drive it the cold air rushes in. You will definitely be cold until the heat can catch up with warming the air inside the car enough to over come the cold. I've never experienced this with any of the cars that I had previously owned. My first winter with this car having been parked outside I actually bought a heater that you would plug into the dash to give an initial blast of heat just to take the edge off of the cold. ... This is my second car and it's never failed me. I have never experienced any issue with any of the components of the car, and everything has worked well since I bought it. I've never had to take it to the shop for anything, and I have gone on long-distance drives with it (12+ hours) and never had a problem with it breaking down. I once left the car in the South all winter, being driven only once a month, and then I used the car to make another 12+ hour drive and it didn't fail on me the whole way there, the only thing I had to do was inflate the tires and I was good to go. It's got fantastic fuel mileage, 12 miles to the gallon, which means I need to stop less on road trips and that's fantastic for me because I like to go where I need to go and not have to stop to refuel.
Story
One time I was driving back from a 5k Color Run and I forgot to bring any towels in the car, and it was me and 5 of my friends and we were all stained with the cornstach pigment that they throw at you while you're running and I was worried that it would mess up the interior of the car, but surprisingly it didn't stick to the seats at all. I thought I'd have to clean up this big mess when I got... (more)
Pros
The fuel mileage on the car is really good. I get 12+ miles to the gallon and I can go for about 4-5 hours on the highway without needing to stop for gas, which is exceptional to me. The car itself has a really roomy interior and it's always held everything that I need comfortably, including my guitars and my bo staffs for martial arts competitions, which are wide and don't actually fit across the back seats in a lot of cars, but it does in this one which I'm really grateful for. This car has also never broken down on me once, which is fantastic and shows that it's a really reliable vehicle.
Cons
I think on of the top negative things about the vehicle is that the outside is made of plastic, not metal, and so it's really hard if you get a bump or any sort of dent to buff out. My roommate hit a deer while driving my car back from campus and even though she only grazed the deer, there is still a mark in the side of the car that I've been unable to buff out. The exterior also gets really dirty really quick.

Friendly, prompt service--our family has bought pretty much every car we've ever owned from Middletown Honda (despite living far away). I was given a pretty good deal on my latest car, and the dealership has been very kind to me in the years since when it comes to maintenance and questions.

I purchased my first car at this dealership with my father. The salesmen were kind and knowledgeable. The salesman that ultimately sold us the vehicle was up-to-date on all the promotions and even inquired as to whether we are AAA members in order to offer us 0% financing which allowed us to keep our down payment reasonable. He personally sat in the car with me and went through all of the features from cruise control to automatic radio selection when traveling to new areas. It was an extremely pleasant experience, overall.
