Amazing car. Overall, you cannot beat it. There is no other car that will touch the value of this car.
Story
Off-roading with my Prius at a farm and going over a hill of dirt. I scratched my car a little bit, but it is no big deal!
Pros
This car has phenomenal value. It will go forever. 200k miles. Super easy to maintain and the gas mileage! You get 55 mpg! It's crazy good. I used to drive a truck, and I switched to this. I fill it up 10x less.
Cons
Perception while driving it. It isn't a flashy car, and you can get made fun of. The brand Toyota is great, but the Prius -- for some reason -- is incredibly looked down upon. People do not see it as a nice car. Get past the stigma and save money.

First and foremost, I love the unbeatable mileages on this car. It also handles well in the snow, although I did have to upgrade the tires. It is easy to drive, the savings in gas make up for the slightly higher cost. The interior is minimal, especially on the dashboard. I have the navigation system in mine and it is invaluable. Not only does it provide travel directions, but it will also display messages should a warning light come on which helps identify what the problem is. It is very roomy. You can find information online about how to change out items such as the headlights yourself, without having to take it to the dealer who will want to take your entire front bumper off which really is not necessary. I doubt I will ever buy a different car.
Story
I was driving down a very narrow street. I was going slowly because there were cars on both sides. About halfway down the street, a car on the left hand side of the road had the passenger side door open. I did not see anyone as I approached. When I got a few feet from the car, I saw a women leaving over the passenger seat grabbing stuff. I slowly approached and as I pulled along side, I rolled... (more)
Pros
terrific gas mileage, reliable and easy to setup Bluetooth phone, large enough hatchback to hold a Christmas tree and other items, requires little prescheduled maintenance, very few repairs have been needed.
Cons
Cannot rock it back and forth like a non-hybrid if you get stuck in the snow, lack of choices for 12 volt battery.

I had been driving my dad's car through college and when we finally decided it was time for me to purchase my own we knew where to start looking. We put out some feelers and Stephanie was very receptive to our needs. Since I was used to driving a small car (Yaris) and on a college budget she was able to find me a killer deal on a 2010 model in the beginning of January 2011 that was priced to move. Not only that, but I got a college grad discount as well as 0% financing. Owning a new car as my first car ever was not something I thought I could afford, but the team there worked together to make it happen! I was glad I had my father there who was able to turn down all of the add-ons they offered, because they were quite insistent on a few of them. The only downside was that they were NOT ... (more)

They were not necessarily willing to go above and beyond for me, and to an extent, I felt a bit swindled. The guy I was with clearly just wanted to sell a car that was ready to go on the lot rather than order me what I wanted. I refuse to believe that getting a black car instead of a space gray bluish car is something that will take a month. He was very pushy and wanted to get the car off of the lot before the end of the month, as he said if I waited until after the new month started the price would go up. My fault, though, for being a girl and alone and nervous with a fast talking car salesman. The dealership itself is nice, and the service (oil changes, tire rotations, inspections, etc.) They provided after the purchase has been great.
