Overall I really love this car. For me it's the perfect size car for myself and my family. I feel very safe driving it because it has all wheel drive and I live in an area that has quite a bit of snow. It has adequate room in the back for groceries and my son's hockey equipment. I think that it's one of the most comfortable cars I've ever driven. There is plenty of leg room not just for me but for my husband who is 6' feet. Another thing that I really love about it is that there aren't a lot of blind spots. It's very easy to see what's going on around you - great visibility. It also has great gas mileage. One thing that I don't like so much is the windshield wipers don't seem to fit well over the windshield and it's very hard to see especially when it's raining out. And another thing I... (more)
Story
We have gone on many family vacations in this vehicle. A couple times to Cape Cod and have many memorable trips. A lot of family memories. Nothing really sticks out in my mind but there are many fond memories of singing songs with my kids and playing the "animal" game and "I spy"
Pros
My favorite feature is it's safety. To me you just can't put a price on how safe you feel and how safe you feel your kids are either. I would say the next favorite thing would be how comfortable the car is. Its a very comfortable ride - you don't really feel any bumps when you hit them and the seats are also very comfortable. And it also has great gas mileage.
Cons
Top negative thing for me is that the windshield wipers and the windshield don't seem to fit well together and the visibility is awful especially on rainy days. The next negative thing would be the cup holders and they don't fit snugly.

This is an all-wheel drive vehicle that gets better gas mileage than most 4-wheel drive and other all wheel drive vehicles available. I have the wagon, which gives the flexibility not of just driving passengers around, but picking up a new hot water heater, or even lumber without the need for a truck. It is a comfortable car. This model has heated leather seats, cruise control, precision climate control, and a lot of other options usually only found on more expensive vehicles. The driver's seat has 5-way electronic adjustment, so I can raise and lower the entire seat in addition to moving it forward or backward as I can in other vehicles. I expect this Subaru to make it to at least 350,000 miles without a new engine, and I am nearly there with 295,000 miles on it now.
Story
I don't just like my Subaru Outback (Legacy) LL Bean edition, I love it! I have driven this car, which I purchased used, for 100,000 miles myself. It really never lets me down. Last winter when we had almost 3 feet of snow, I was able to get to work and back while other people were still trying to plow and shovel their way out of the snow. I actually used it to go get a new part for the snow b... (more)
Pros
The #1 best feature of this car, and any Subaru I have had personal experience with is the reliability. I have had problems along the way, but the car has never stranded me anywhere. It goes for so many miles that I don't have to worry about buying used. Maintenance costs are worth it when I can count on the car functioning when I need it.
Cons
The biggest downside of this Subaru, and Subarus in general is the cost of maintaining an older car with today's emission standards. The Subaru has four oxygen sensors plus the catalytic convertor. It seems once a year, one of the sensors need to be replaced. The part costs approximately $150, and for the lower, or downstream ones, I have to pay a mechanic to install the new part. At this point in Subaru ownership, I have learned how to install the upstream, or upper sensors myself, which saves a lot of money. With New York State emissions-related inspections, these sensors must be replace... (more)

The people there were all very kind and seemed to know a lot about Subarus in particular. The salesman that we worked with was very knowledgeable about the cars there and was able to answer all our questions fully.
