Was originally received as a gift from a friend who moved onto a new car of their own. The car was a gift, so I don't really want to dwell on the complaints, but as you can imagine, a near 20-year-old car will not look as it did when it first left the showroom. But the engine still runs great and strong, and I was advised by my mechanic that when you get a good Japanese motor, they can run forever.
Story
Did think the front wheels/axel were going to fall off one time. We where driving on the highway and passed by one of those road crew work sites. And either a rock or screw must of somehow got up in the underside of the car, which caused it to begin making sounds, a nerving metallic noise. Anyway, it eventually fell out, but for the five to ten mins we were hearing the noise. It felt as if we ... (more)
Pros
Despite its age, it is still surviving and sometimes thrives. We live in the northeast, and the car really proved its worth this past winter during the big snow storms and was able to handle the terrain with ease. Also, its compact size makes it able to fit in cramped city parking spots.
Cons
The car will not win any beauty contests. Also, I am not sure, but from just riding in it, I believe that this car may have been one of they first small SUVs/hatchbacks to feature the ability to fold down the back seats to be able to fit in any luggage or anything that you would need room for. But as a result, sitting in the backseat of the car can sometimes be uncomfortable/cramped especially with three people sitting in the backseat (especially on road trips).

My Subaru Forester gives me everything I could ask for. The size is a small, SUV type, which allows for enough room to pack for long trips while still being fairly small on the actual road. It rides incredibly smoothly and accelerates at a great rate. The interior is comfortable, easy to clean, and durable. The safety features are also excellent, as Subaru's have a great reputation when it comes to safety tests. The stereo system, CD player, and speakers are more than adequate and let out strong sound. Additionally, I love having a middle console to store my things in as well as the dashboard, which is flat enough to rest my GPS device on. This is a great car, and I highly recommend it to young adults, as I think it is a great car to start out with. It is perfect for taking on road tri... (more)
Story
One weekend, I drove to Montreal with my friends for a concert. Somehow our hotel reservation fell through and we ended up having to sleep in my Subaru. It was surprisingly comfortable, and we all slept soundly, waking up with plenty of energy to dance the day away at the concert.
Pros
One of my favorite features of this vehicle is the size. It feels small but has plenty of room in it. It is the perfect size in my opinion. Another favorite aspect of it is the safety reputation. I know that my parents are happy knowing that I drive a Subaru, as it has excellent safety ratings. Lastly, the performance is very smooth.
Cons
Although I love this vehicle, I do wish that it had a cassette player so that I could use my preexisting AUX cord. Also, sometimes the ignition gets stuck and I have to shake the steering wheel to unlock it.

The salespeople here were very low key. I had purchased another vehicle from a different local dealership about a year ago and was displeased with the sales tactics. I went into Bill Rapp ready for battle, and was pleasantly surprised by how well I was treated with the two sales representatives I worked with. They were not aggressive, they were very helpful, and in the end, I feel like I received a very fair deal on my new Subaru.
