I bought my 2015 Escape new and have had it for almost two years. Other than a recall in 2015 - which was fixed immediately - I have not had any mechanical problems with this car, and have put over 28,000 miles on it. I did get a few options, including the winter package with heated seats and rubber floor mats, as well as the upgraded entertainment system (Sync). Gas mileage is very good, especially compared to previous Escapes. I've done more highway driving than city driving, and have been getting close to 28 mpg combined, at least according to the vehicle information center. The interior is no-nonsense and relatively easy to keep clean. It handles really well - very much like a car as opposed to an SUV. But when it comes to DIY maintenance like putting in a new cabin air filter, engine air filter, change a battery, etc., it is more complicated than the other vehicles I have had.

My 2015 Ford Escape is my favorite vehicle I have ever owned. There is a feature where the car will sense traction loss and engage 4wd. I have never felt so safe in a vehicle while driving in the snow. The inside is roomy and has lots of tech capabilities. I enjoyed the comfortable ride and have had this car for three years and have not had to replace anything. It was a roomy vehicle for a long road trip. There is a turbo engine that uses Fords eco boost to accelerate, although there is a long delay before activation. The car has a small engine, which is a problem for some, but for daily driving, I didn't find the car needing any more acceleration capabilities than it comes with. There are other features including winter weather package and sunroof features. I chose the model with a smaller screen for rear view camera, as I don't care for a clunky center console.
