My Honda currently has 170k miles on it, and I am not worried about it breaking down any time soon. Hondas are built like tanks and are very dependable cars. I feel like if I take it in for regular oil changes, it's a happy camper. It's the right size for me. I can fit Ikea bookshelves in through the back easier than I thought, considering the size, but I can also park in the city in parallel spots without any trouble. The only downsides are that my ac charge doesn't seem to hold as long as I would like and the height that I am (5'4"), sometimes I can't see my mph through the steering wheel super easily. It gets pretty good gas mileage, and the seats are comfortable. I bought this car used, so I didn't buy it for the customization, but the center console with directions is nice, as wel... (more)
Story
Once, stuck in completely stopped traffic (due to a highway blocking accident), everyone on the road got out of their cars and had a mini party. There was frisbee throwing and snack sharing, as well as some helpful music from my own car - windows and sun roof thrown open, it ended up actually being fun.
Pros
I know this car is going to get me where I want to go on a day-to-day basis. Not having to worry about my car is a load off of my mind. I get good gas mileage. Everything just works, and that's what I want out of a car. I also feel protected in my car, like it's not going to crumple at the first sign of trouble.
Cons
My A/C isn't always the strongest (seems like it needs coolant regularly), and the steering wheel shaft isn't perfect for my height of 5'4".

I really have enjoyed driving this Honda Civic for the last 16 years. Most importantly, this car still runs at 16 years old. It's a comfortable ride. It has good fuel economy. The vehicle's small size makes ideal for finding parking spaces here in the city. The interior has held up very well for 16 years of use and nine of those years are with kids riding along. I didn't know I was going to have a family when I got the car, but it has been a very practical family car. In addition to the parents up front, we were able to fit two car seats in the back. And sometime we were able squeeze in a small fifth passenger on the back seat. While the car has not been problem-free, the problems have been relatively few over the years. About two or years ago, several things required replacing around ... (more)
Story
While driving around a friend from out of town, I meant to go to the Lincoln Memorial, but I accidently turned onto a bridge to Virginia. My friend noted how sad it was that I lived in a place with all this stuff and clearly hadn't been accessing it.
Pros
It's still running well although it's old. My favorite feature is the impractical and rarely used moon roof.
Cons
The radio doesn't work even after the mechanic re-entered the radio code.
