Toyota Corolla Owner Ratings & Reviews
Write a Review
2010 Toyota Corolla - A no-fuss car for everyday use.
My Toyota Corolla, which I've had for nearly 8 years, is the most reliable car I've owned. It has had very few problems in all the time I've owned it. It doesn't have a lot of flashy options like a Bluetooth, a rear-view camera, seat warmers or anything extra like that. But it is a no-frills, reliable car that is great for commuting, city driving, and short road trips. It is not too big and not too small, so it's great to find street parking (my city does not have a lot of parking lots), and to navigate through the more narrow streets. One thing I do miss is that it does not have 4 wheel drive and is not good to drive when it's snowy or icy. This is sometimes a problem in the winter, but it doesn't happen too often and I will just usually avoid driving and work from home.
Story
Driving the car to the Union Market drive-in movie! I've always wanted to go to a drive-in movie, and while this was a "makeshift" one and not a true drive-in theater, it was really fun to do it, get hot dogs delivered by a skating waitress, and tune in to the radio to get the audio of the movie.
Pros
Little maintenance required. The only things I've had to do to maintain it (other than accidents which were the other driver's fault) are oil changes and a new set of tires. That's not bad for 8 years of driving! I've never had to return anything else. It's not the fastest car out there, but does get up to respectable speeds on the highway and has decent brakes.
Cons
It does not have a lot of "extras" since I picked the standard model. I wish it came with Bluetooth connectivity and a better media console. The aux port has not been working consistently. It does not drive the best under hazardous conditions.
2015 Toyota Corolla - Standard advanced features and flexibility
It is without question that the Toyota Corolla is a very smart choice if a potential buyer values safety and reliability. While there are other vehicles that are comparable in price that has more space than the Corolla, this model boasts an excellent safety scores, and it is more fun to drive than the competitors. When it comes to the Corolla, as millions of the model have been sold over the years, all of these car shoppers cannot be wrong. It’s definitely a good and fine commuter car. In the small car class, this is no longer acceptable and there are numerous competitors that are giving the Toyota Corolla a run for its money and the wallet of potential buyers.
Story
It is a fun car to drive in as the handling is exceptional in all types of terrains, not too crazy though.
Pros
The notable pros for the Corolla are its refreshed interior and exterior styling, the included Toyota Safety Sense technologies standard in all models, the exceptional rear-view camera that comes equipped standard in all models, and finally the continuously-variable automatic transmission now standard within every Corolla model.
Cons
If you want your car to be more than safe, practical, and reliable, you can do better than the Corolla. There are definitely other vehicles that are similar in price but have other qualities that may surpass the Toyota Corolla, depending on the preference of the buyer. It is not the most future proof car in the market, but if the buyer only wishes to commute to and from work on a daily basis, there is no better choice than the Toyota Corolla.
