The Honda Odyssey is the best vehicle I've owned. It drives smoothly and has a lot of power.
Story
I had to sleep in my van once. It wasn't very comfortable. I tried to sleep on the floor with the rear seats down, but although the seats fold down flush to the floor, the floor is a bit angled. It also smelled like there was an old banana in there, although I never found it.
Pros
I like that the driver's seat adjusts in height. I like that the mid-row seats can be removed from the vehicle. I like that the third-row seats fold down flush to the floor. And when they are upright, there is a floor well behind them. The Odyssey has many cupholders--I think there are 14-16 of them, and we often use most or all of them--not just for cups. I like the sunglasses compartment above the rearview mirror. The Odyssey runs well too--it used to be so quiet that I had to rev the engine sometimes just to let pedestrians know I was behind them (we have no sidewalks). Now that my Odys... (more)
Cons
What I didn't like is that replacing the battery was a bit difficult as a do-it-yourself job, but my husband and I did manage to get it done by ourselves. We also replaced the hydraulic lifts on the tailgate by ourselves. One of the sliding doors has a tendency to stick, especially in cold weather, but happens sometimes even in hot weather.

2007 Honda Odyssey - The Honda Odyssey is one of the best, if not the best, minivans out there.

I love my Honda Odyssey. Even though I have the basic model (LX), it is still of very high quality. The seats are comfortable, it is roomy, and it drives well. I love that the back seats fold down into the floor, giving a completely flat surface when they're down. When the back seats are up, there is a deep well to put things in. And since the back seat is a split bench seat, I can put one or the other seat down, leaving room for someone to sit and also providing a well to securely hold a few groceries. My Odyssey is now 11 years old and has just 90,000 miles on it. It's still going strong while other minivans of other brands owned by friends have started having serious problems. We have had some minor issues with things that involve general maintenance...like the weather stripping aro... (more)
Story
My husband once accidentally left the van in drive before getting out of the van. He opened the sliding door, one of the kids got in, and the van took off by itself. It ran into a brick post close by -- no damage to the post, but it did damage the front end of the van. Child was a little shaken up.
Pros
My favorite features are the comfortable seats and the numerous cup holders. Also the various moving parts inside the passenger area are of good quality. It has separate controls for heat and A/C for the second and third row passengers -- this can be controlled by the driver if needed.
Cons
Negative things are peeling paint and a door that sticks. I wish it had separate controls for heat and A/C for driver vs. passenger sides of the vehicle.

I was rather displeased with working with this dealership. I believe they knowingly sold a lemon.

We got the car the same day that we had started looking at it.
