Overall, I'm really happy with this vehicle. I really like how sturdy this vehicle is and how well it is running. I currently have 140,000 miles on it and it hasn't needed serious repairs at all. It drives well and requires little maintenance to keep it running smoothly. It's pretty stylish and it has an attractive shape. It also comes in lots of colors, interiors, and trims, so it's easy to find a version that works for you and your price.
Pros
It has a nice size and it's easy to drive. The sound system works really well, and it has a USB port so I can plug my iPod into the car. It is reliable and it doesn't need a lot of repairs. It has a good amount of cargo space for the sized car it is. People report that the backseat is roomy and comfortable. It's easy to see out of the car and the seats are very adjustable. The maintenance monitor is very helpful for keeping track of what needs to be done.
Cons
The gas mileage is not as great as I thought it would be for the size of the car. Acceleration is sometimes spotty, cutting out if you push it too hard. Occasionally I will have issues with the wheels clicking, which no mechanic can seem to diagnose.

I bought a 2004 Honda Pilot in order to have a vehicle that could handle a variety of road conditions and that would last me several years. The Pilot handles exceptionally well in all kinds of weather (rain, snow, wind, etc...) and I've never had a serious problem with it. The car feels very solid and well built, and even gets decent gas mileage for its size. I would very much recommend it for people looking for a mid-size SUV that won't break down in only a few years.
Story
I was driving on the highway when suddenly my wife and I were confronted with a snowstorm! It was night & day with how the road was before. I'll never forget it since it was around when we first got the vehicle and we tried to be exceptionally careful with our driving. (P.S. - The Pilot worked great in the snow! Kept a good grip on the road the entire time!)
Pros
Very Comfortable: The EXL trim is a very nice package. The seats are heated and very comfortable to sit in, making for some nice road trips, even in cold weather.. Surprising Cargo Space: I play the Double Bass, and this vehicle has no problem transporting.
Cons
Some of the chrome detail inside feels cheap. For example, the plastic chrome around the inside door handles has started chipping and is very sharp. I've opted to peel off what I can to avoid getting poked! The GPS is difficult to update.
