I purchased a Hyundai Sonata. I have absolutely loved my car. It was the first car I purchased on my own. I love that it is dependable, has great gas mileage, runs smoothly and is easy to operate. The interior of the car is spacious and doesn't feel like a compact car. There is plenty of room in the trunk to transport things, and you can fold down the back seats for extra room in the trunk if needed. Hyundai also has a great warranty, and so I felt safe making this purchase in case anything ever happened.
Story
When I first adopted my dog, he climbed into the backseat on the way home. He then ended climbing onto the rear dash for the ride home and it was so funny.
Pros
I have many favorite features. My top favorite is that it has a sunroof. I love having this feature. I also love that it has great gas mileage. I like that the gas compartment can only be opened through a button inside the car. The gas cap is also attached so you don't have to worry about leaving it behind! The car runs smoothly. The warning lights are easy to understand and help make sure everything is working the way I should. The audio features are great, you can plug in an aux cord, use Sirius radio, CDs or listen to the radio. The center console is sturdy and keeps things organized.
Cons
The only thing I dislike about my vehicle is the interior color and material on the seats. The interior color is light and stained really easily. I wish it was a different material that didn't hold a stain or that was easier to clean. Also, the only other issue I have had is that the passenger window stopped working and can't be fixed.

I've owned this car for a few years, but not before my dad sold it to me. He had driven it since 2006 when he bought it from the dealership. It has been taken very good care of and, therefore, has run as it should. I take it on long, regular trips of 300+ miles. It has never given me any issues, and I'm expecting it to last me a few more years.
Story
My wife and son come with me on some of the longer trips I take. We pretty regularly drive 300 or more miles to visit family, and the car has never been a point of concern in those travels.
Pros
The longevity of the car has been great. I have had no major issues with the vehicle, and when I do run into issues, they are easy to resolve. I like that since it is a newer model, the oil filter is not underneath the car, but rather right near the engine. This makes for easy regular maintenance. The thing that I always think of when driving my Hyundai for long distances is how grateful I am for the very comfortable seats that the company took time developing.
Cons
Fuel mileage could always be better, even electric owners complain about not getting far enough on a charge. The style of the car is becoming a little more outdated with each year, but this is fine. I wish that Hyundai would have jumped onboard with AUX inputs into their stereos when other car manufactures began the process in 2004 because I'm missing that AUX input now. Beyond this, the car suits my needs.
