My parents bought a 2012 gray Sonata for me when I was 16 and needed something to drive to high school and to my sports practices. What I first liked about it is that it has a sleek design. It looks very cool, and the dark gray color was a perfect color to be cool in high school. I loved the interior of the car. It had a flat and smooth fabric that was comfortable, opposed to something like leather. One "nugget" is that in Minnesota it gets freezing cold in the winter. I loved the heated seats that get warm super fast and would save my life.
Story
One time in the winter, I was driving back from the casino in Minnesota. Of course it was snowing and there was about two inches already on the roads, and it was still coming down. I was going about 40mph on a one lane road and a car far ahead slowed down to turn but I couldn't see it cause of the snow. When I got close I hit my breaks hard and spun out of control. Luckily, I didn't hit anythi... (more)
Pros
It's fun to drive. The acceleration on the car is very quick and it can get to top speeds quickly. The interior is designed well, tons of room, and has modern accessories like heated seats and USB plug-ins for phones. Huge trunk for storage. The material in the interior is easy to clean and looks great. Gas mileage is really good, too. I usually got 26 mpg.
Cons
The windshield does not provide a ton of ability to see things, and it slightly restricts your view of everything, compared to a SUV that had a huge windshield and tons of visibility. Breaks are super sensitive at first. The biggest con for me was that the tires suck in the winter on snow.

It was a really great vehicle. The car is very roomy and gets amazing gas mileage on the highway. The car is aesthetically pleasing on the inside and is fun to drive. Even though the car is a 4-cylinder car there is plenty of power behind the vehicle. Hyundai has become a very reliable brand in the last decade or so. I would definitely recommend this car to anyone considering a new vehicle.
Story
I remember taking my first summertime drive in the vehicle with the windows down in perfect weather. It felt AMAZING!
Pros
The top things were the gas mileage and the aesthetics of the vehicle. I like the GPS features and the reliability. The sounds system is great and the touch screen radio features are amazing. The maintenance costs are pretty low which makes the car very affordable. The price of the car was a very fair price compared to similar vehicles. The Hyundai is also surprisingly roomy. The car starts very reliably in the wintertime even in very cold weather. The car handles well in the summertime and it is works good enough to ride in the wintertime. The Bluetooth connection is really great!
Cons
The only really negative things are the sometimes the vehicle lacks the power needed to accelerate fast. The vehicle does not handle winter with stock tires very well - would recommend replacement tires. The radio system sometimes acts up. I do not use the voice command feature very much so this feature is not applicable to me.
