I like that the Jeep Liberty is both a sport vehicle and a family vehicle. It has the capability to go off road and is trail rated. It performs well in 4x4 and is super fun to drive. At the same time I feel safe transporting my family and friends in it and it is extremely comfortable for everyday use. The size is great as well, and the seats that fold completely to the floor make it great for transporting larger items, I've fit bikes, kayaks, lumber, furniture, ect in it, however at the same time it has never felt big or bulky.
Story
My best memory is driving the jeep home from the dealership in the start of a giant blizzard and trying out the four wheel drive right after signing the papers for it. I was so nervous but it performed like a champ!
Pros
My most favorite feature is the 4x4 and trail rated aspects of the jeep. I purchased it in the middle of one of the worst winters I've ever seen and felt extremely safe on the road. The toggle switch makes it very easy to switch from 2wd to 4wd. I also love the look of the vehicle. It looks rugged and classy at the same time.
Cons
The biggest con is that this thing is a GAS GUZZLER. The gas mileage is pretty terrible. City driving gets me about 14 miles per gallon. The other con is that it can sometimes be a little bouncy. On bumpier paved roads it can sometimes feel like off-roading, which I don't mind, but my passengers are sometimes surprised if they aren't used to it.

It drives very well, when it is working. For the first few years this was all the time, but as the car approaches 100,000 miles and ten years of being alive, it's starting to have a lot of serious problems. The amount of issues that slowly build up over the years is quite a lot. The car was also recalled several times for a variety of issues.
Story
I remember driving it off road in the snow and just plowing through it like it was nothing.
Pros
It can drive well and smooth. It does really good in winter areas when it's snowing because of it's four-wheel drive. The MPG isn't that bad, especially compared to some other cars of the same build. It handles off roading really well as well.
Cons
There was many recalls that involved all sorts of things so that made owning the vehicle a little more stressful. The brakes tend to give out fairly quickly and the parts that make up the brakes and axle don't seem like they are built very well. It's almost starting to fall apart at this point in time. It also has an oil leak that appeared from normal wear and tear. On top of that, the older it gets, the more frequent these kinds of issues begin to appear.

They weren't pushy and they didn't balk at my low budget. The salesman hunted around at other dealerships to find me the exact car I wanted despite the purchase being a used car purchase. They were able to get me financing at a good rate and the process was very straightforward. I didn't feel like I was being rushed at all. The parts department guys are also great.
