The 2008 Hyundai Sonata is a nice, compact sedan. It can fit 4 passengers comfortably as long as no one is too tall. It has decent gas mile and has been very reliable. It's not sexy but its a nice little sedan that can get you to work in relative comfort.
Pros
The Sonata is a confortable and dependable sedan. I bought my Sonata in 2008 and as such I am the original owner. To date I haven't had any major issues with it other than putting new tires on it. It has the typical flip down rear seats that allow you to store longer items in the trunk ( a nice feature at Christmas!). The gas mileage is decent. I consistently get between 24 - 26 miles to the gallon when driving around town even after all these years of driving. On the highway, I can easily get 30 miles to the gallon. It is nice, reliable, well priced sedan.
Cons
It is NOT a sexy car. It doesn't have a lot of 'get up and go'. The interior trim is a little bland and the exterior design makes it look like every other foreign sedan on US soil. It doesn't stand out in the crowd and doesn't offer anything exciting or different to make it stand out in the crowd.

It gets pretty decent overall gas mileage (around 25 mpg). Runs great, and have had no problems whatsoever. Is a nice small SUV, but still has tons of storage room in the back. I have three kids and am constantly chauffeuring them all over town for their various activities. The Soul works great for this. We always have enough room and it is reliable and safe. I also took this Kia Soul on two cross county trips this year, and it held up great. No overheating in the mountains, no breakdowns on the side of the highway. Also very comfortable inside for long trips with plenty of legroom. The Kia Soul is also very stylish and looks great driving down the road.
Story
Took the Kia on a cross country trip with 5 people and two cats when we had to evacuate for a hurricane. Was comfortable and surprisingly held all of our luggage. A great car!
Pros
Great gas mileage. Tons of space inside without feeling like a huge truck. Also very economically priced.
Cons
The gas tank is a little on the small side. It is only about 10 gallons but since the Kia Soul gets such good gas mileage, that isn't much of a problem. However, I would love it if it could hold another 5 gallons or so. This would really help on long, cross country trips which I happen to do about twice a year.

I called for general information and spoke with a knowledgeable salesperson. She provided detailed info on the phone and this prompted a quick visit. She made helpful suggestions, including used rather than new. She was exceedingly helpful with paperwork, kept her promises.
