My Prius is 8 years old with over 122,000 miles and is running as smooth as the day I bought it. I do take my car in for an oil change and any other routine maintenance recommended by the Toyota Service department every 5,000 miles.
Story
The Prius was a great ride through the winding Smoky Mountains for a recent 1,000 road trip.
Pros
In the city I'm averaging 43 mpg and highway driving gets 45 mpg due to its aerodynamic design, which means that I can get approximately 400 miles on one tank of gas. It runs really quiet. It has lots of convenient features like the keyless entry, easy to read digital display, cruise control, and audio control on the steering wheel. There are plenty of compartments for storage of your knick-knacks (center console, overhead eyeglass compartment, two passenger side glove boxes) and four cup holders. Safety features include anti-lock braking system, side impact airbags, full-size spare ti... (more)
Cons
My only complaint is that the paint on the rear hatch is fading. Also, the paint on the door handles for the driver and passenger side also seem to be peeling.

2013 Toyota Prius - Fuel economy and quiet, smooth driving.

I like the way it looks. It is very sleek front and side. The back looks a bit awkward with the bar in the middle, but in general, it's a nice-looking car. The 50 MPG fuel economy is also very impressive, along with a smooth electric/gas engine.
Story
One time we went biking in Shark Valley in the Everglades. We had a bike mount with one bike in the back, another bike in the trunk and a folding bike on one of the back seats. The three of us, plus three bikes, all fit in the Prius. We are all very impressed.
Pros
Great fuel economy, very quiet when in EV mode, ability to charge when braking saves energy, and you don't have to change the brake pad for a very long time. Spacious trunk especially when you put the back seats down.
Cons
A bit less powerful, sound system is not as impressive, and the car is kind of low to the ground. You hit the wheel stop every now and then when you are parking.

I don't know that this dealership would be considered the best but it was the closest one I had my house at that time. Also, the salesperson was funny and made the transaction enjoyable (as much as it could be).

Actually it wasn't that great, I had just moved to Miami for the army and it was close to my hotel, and I really needed a car to start in processing at my new unit...
