My Favorite First Car
I really enjoy my Kia Soul. I have had very few issues with it. It gets decent mileage -- averaging about 23 mpg, mostly on city streets. It is four years old and I have not had any issues with the engine. The only expenses thus far have been fuel, oil, and new tires. I've had no issues with the electronic key, and the upholstery still looks brand new. I've driven about 45,000 miles, and there are no interior rattles. The ride feels smooth and the A/C is powerful enough to cool us down within a couple minutes, even in the middle of an Arizona summer. However, the horn is surprisingly loud and high pitched. If you want to scare someone, press the lock button on your keys when they are standing in front of the car.

Peppy and fun
In the 2013 Kia Soul, For a relatively small engine, the car has a lot of acceleration and power. There is no problem at all accelerating onto the freeway or passing cars on a two lane highway. Overall, the quality of the car is good. There have been no mechanical problems in the three years and 30,000 miles. It does get good mileage / mpg, but not as good as advertised on the sticker. This vehicle was one of the Kia vehicles in the EPA lawsuit litigation so original purchasers of this car such as myself are eligible for either a lifetime reimbursement program or a one time lump payment. The sound system is good and the hands free / Bluetooth and interface with iPod and iPhone are a great feature and work almost flawlessly. One drawback is that some OEM replacement parts were originally not available anywhere except at dealerships. The worst part of the car, and a complete surprise to me until I had a flat tire, was the complete lack of spare tire. The little pump kit with sealant did not work at all, and I had no choice but find a way to get the car to a dealership -- just for a flat tire. Nearly $400 later, I had a non-standard "donut" spare tire from the dealership. Overall, I would probably buy a KIA again based on the experience with this vehicle.

This dealership was fantastic because they were honest from the get go. No one tried to take advantage of me and I ended up getting exactly what I wanted for the price I was willing to Pay! Two thumbs up!

They were very warm and welcoming. We were able to leave with a brand new car without having to put money down the same day. They let us come back later that week with the money to put down for the car.

The dealership was closest to our house. Greatness was only the gold standard due the dealership’s proximity and for being the closest Kia dealership.
