2008 Nissan Altima - A sporty, fleet, economical and stylish car.

Right from the get go, the vehicle was responsive from the gas acceleration to the braking and the turning. The sports suspension gave a bit of a rough ride, but it more than compensated by being able to take corners at a decent clip and not losing control when going over uncertain surfaces. The metal alloy wheels are always a joy to have, especially when I saw comparable vehicles sporting those cheap plastic covers that get so easily dented, torn and disfigured. The 2.5L v4 might seem like the car is underpowered, but the 170hp CVT provides for a smooth and rapid acceleration that gives one more than enough power to overtake trucks on long drives, to merge and to pass in freeways, and to give that satisfying sense of being pressed into your chair when you push the pedal to the metal. ... Story
There was a time when it was raining slightly, just enough to start making the roads wet. Combine that with the oil and other liquids on the road surfaces, and suddenly you have a very slick surface. While traveling on the freeway, a car in front of me lost control and started spinning, striking another vehicle and causing a chain reaction pile-up. Fortunately, I turned the wheel, accelerated ... Pros
Responsiveness, aesthetic, interior design.
Cons
Wish it had a better sound system, so I didn't have to replace it with aftermarket parts. Tires are expensive, since they are more sporty than consumer level.

The vehicle I purchased was originally black but eventually painted it red. It was a four door car with decent space both in the front and back seats. The interior was nothing special so I covered it up custom seat covers. Most of the dashboard was plastic and also the side panels with automatic windows. The MPG was not the best but far from the worst and it included what they called "turbo". In reality it was not turbo but some gimmicky play to make the vehicle sound better. It performed well in sunny weather but the tires needed constant replacements. It seemed like in every pothole I hit, the tire blew out. The vehicle eventually blew a casket and needed a whole new engine. I paid someone to put a new engine but at the end of the day it failed. The car was sold as scrap.
Story
I remember driving in southern California, in orange county, going to different location to buy video games. At the last video game stop, my friends and I got lost and ended up far away from home. Interesting time.
Pros
The maintenance, for the most part, was inexpensive and easy to find. The vehicle was also a "cheap buy", not costing a lot of money. Tires were easy to find and replace. It had four doors making it simple for people to get in and out of the back seats.
Cons
The car did not have a good MPG. The interior was not the best or top of the line and could have used upgrades. The tires needed constant replacements and the car did not drive well under rainy weather conditions.

My vehicle was purchased brand new in 2010 from a dealership. We got ripped off as far as price goes, so that was a definite dislike. My husband traded in his old truck for this car so that is the reason I assume we paid a lot more for this car than normal. I love the fact that it rides very smoothly and quietly. For being seven years old, it still rides very nicely. There isn't much road noise. This car has never broken down except for when it needed a new battery and has never overheated. The vehicle has keyless entry and keyless starting, which is nice because I can cool down my car while still leaving it locked. The interior is cloth and with children that is hard to keep clean so that has been a dislike of mine. I also like that there are controls on the steering wheel for the ste... (more)
Story
My car has been on many trips with my kids and I. One time we couldn't find it at a concert. We forgot where we parked and literally walked all around the lot thinking someone stole it!
Pros
Keyless start (push button start). Comfortable seats. Low road noise. Doors feel durable when opening and closing. Has some updated technology. Lots of storage and cup holders. Runs great at almost 100K miles. Hasn't cost a lot of money in upkeep.
Cons
Doesn't have latest technology like back-up cameras or DVD players. Isn't large enough for three car seats. Is almost eight years old. Price of car vs. resale price.

This dealership was friendly, to say the least, and not pushy. I told them I wanted to look at Altimas, and that I wasn't looking to buy new. They told me I was making a great choice to get a used one, and showed me all the used Altimas they had, and told me prices. I told them how much I wanted to pay, and the salesperson didn't even talk to his boss or pull any of the typical car salesman shady tactics - he told me he could do that for me, and led me to sign paperwork immediately!

I originally came in trying to participate in the "cash 4 clunkers" deal. They originally told me my old car did qualify for the program. They had me do all the paper work and stuff and I drove home with my new car. They called me back a few days later saying that I wouldn't be able to get the cash for clunkers deal for my car and that I would now owe an additional 4500$ on my loan. This was unacceptable to me and I brought my father who is an attorney to come assist me to resolve this. They ended up giving me close to cost on the car and I ended up just keeping it. I was pretty upset but overall they tried they're best to help.
